Yes I do, I've only been in 1 so far, at texas A&M university. I got an invitational to come back and shoot at A&M but I might not get to go. I wouldn't want to do a competition with out a sight! That must've been hard, though I have seen some very good archers (Like Legolas!lol) using no sight.(barebow)
Ouch Bowgirlwarrior! That sound like it would really hurt!

i was putting my bow in the wrong way (facing my foot) like an idiot, and my arrow accidentally slipped out of my hand while it was pulled back and it hit my foot. it really stung and i was kinda gimping for a while, but then i was alright after i got a cool necklace with a dragon foot and a "dragon tear" in it. it was sweet, but i have a bruise from where the arrow hit me. lol

OW!!! You must not have pulled back very far, or had a low poundage bow, because if you had pulled back more or had more poundage... it probably would've shot clear through your foot!

Actually barebow is pretty easy cos that's how I learned archery ... I was only allowed to have a sight after I got more experienced

Ow! that must have hurt! our coach told us once that some archers get insurence (I think I spelled that wrong) just for archery. One time I heard of a girl who's arrows were too short and she pulled back, and the arrow slipped of the arrow rest and she got shot through the hand. quite grusome.

^Yeah, same here, I just havn't used barebow in so long, it seems hard to me, but I doubt it would be that hard,I could probably aim after a few shots.

yeah i agree totally ... when i shot a few shots with NEW bow that had the sight ... i got used to it. when i borrowed my friend's standard one, my arrow flew crazily and my coach was so shocked because i did excellently with the standard during the tournament ...

Yeah, after I learned what can happen when your arrows are too short I start to freak out whenever our coach says my arrows are getting too short for my arm length. One time I was about to release the string and our coach suddenly came up to me and said that my arrow was about to slip off the arrow rest. he nearly scared me to death!

The other day I was shooting outside, I let go and once I let go my nock (or knok or knock or however you spell it!) on my arrow broke! In the middle of shooting! My arrow turn arown in between my bow and my string and almost hit me! It freaked me out really bad!

Haha lol... Once, I was moving my sight... but I moved it the wrong way and I shot (I shoot at 18 meters away) but my arrow went really really high (I shoot in a big gymnasium) and it bounced of the wall and flew back and landed about a foot in front of me!

*hopes Elven Archer doesn't live anywhere near her*
Umm.. wow... seems you've got some hidden talent...
Fortunately my arrows never go off to far from what they are supposed to hit.. at least not dangerously off....
