A red-haired girl slid in beside Bella, breathless. "Hello, Bella!" she said, cheerfully. "Zinnia gave my such a hard time," she added ruefully, displaying cat scratches on her bare arms. "I don't know what got into her!"

Sitting at the Gryffindor table, Raven sighed and tapped her fingers on the tabletop, resisting the urge to look towards the Slytherin table and see what Jeremy was doing. I just need to forget about him.. she finally told herself firmly, before laying her head down on the table, auburn hair falling into her face and covering it completely.

"He's in Hufflepuff," said Jasmine quietly, scanning the hall. "Oh - there," she indicated with a jerk of her head. "Left side of the table - dark hair, tall? His name's Nick." The boy she indicated was sitting by himself, eating a mound of mashed potatoes and occasianally glancing up as someone made a passing comment to him. He was passably attractive - and suddenly someone made a joke and a smile flickered quickly over his face, transforming it.

Isabella smiled, she didn't even need to look for she knew who Jasmine was talking about, "Nick Crosby?" she laughed, "Why would he be in intrested in me? I'm like... a jerk magnet." she said rememering her last boyfriends she couldnt help but smile, all they wanted was a popular irl to follow them around everywhere. Isabella was not that girl.

Erik sat on the benches near the Slytherin table, his eyes scanning the crowd. Occasionally he could pick out Claire, who has been his love interest since the end of last year's term, among the ranks of Ravenclaw. He was seated three children from Draco and his gang of friends. Drace obviously knew that Erik loathed him but he was been releculant to offend him. Partially Erik was stronger than him in the magical arts and partially he was a descendant of Slytherin, though he could not remember who were his parents.
