Moods, yeah, I guess. But it all has to do with your motives. Are you doing it to impress the guy you hope will ask you to Homecoming? Or do you genuinely like how that tank looks on you? Even then, bear in mind that guys will find it hard to take you seriously. That's what I've heard them say. But maybe you [not literally meaning you, haldir] don't really care about that...
It's all pretty complicated.

*applauds* WAY TO GO GWEN!!!! You are so right on girl! What book were you talking about? I'd like to see if I can get it from the lib.
My standards on dress are that if it's too revealing-too tight or otherwise-I don't wear it. It's hard on guys when they have to be forced to look at a girls body just because she dresses imodestly. Us girls really need to protect the guys!

LOL, thanks Padawan.
It was a book by John Eldredge...I think it might have been Captivating. Or Epic. Both very good books.

And then all the women would have broken ribs. No really, I know you were joking. It'd be fun to experience that though.

Oh, god, no. Don't bring back the powdered wigs. I really like my hair, thank you.

I believe the subject of motives for why girls dress how they do was brought up. I think I've heard of the book you mentioned, Gwen. *makes note to read it* I know I certainly feel like that sometimes - that I want to really catch the guys' attention. But you must remind yourself, maybe I'll get noticed, but will this outfit make guys loose their respect for me, too? It's hard to find a balance sometimes, not to mention when your emotions are swirling around like crazy and changing every day. One thing's for sure, I don't want to be wearing a t-shirt or a sweater one day and a tank top the next. That'll just confuse the poor gentlemen...
Gah, this really is all too worrisome. Powdered wigs and elegant dresses all the way!

Well, a bit of variation in style is all right. I just don't want to appear completely one way the first day and then the exact opposite the second. I sided with modest a long time ago...not only is it usually a big safer around high school males... ...but I have personal morals too. It's just with all those hormones bugging you, sometimes your morals can seem annoying. Of course, this is jyust mostly thanks to that evil little teenager inside my head... *shudder*

Please don't enforce powdered wigs on men...I'm not bald yet. Seriously, there is absolutely no need to dress in such old fashion. I probably just offended everyone here with that. Won't all that cloth on you get uncomfortable after a while?
