Sahrai piloted the Serendipity deftly, keeping it at a low altitude to further reduce the chance of detection. Watching the trees and lakes and rivers go past, he sighed. It really did sound tempting to just relax on the planet for a while and forget about life elsewhere, but a lot would probably happen elsewhere during that time that he would probably regret. He focused on flying the ship, steering clear of anything listed as being inhabited.

Viree13 watches silently, then looks over at Aerandir. He looked wistful, and for a moment, almost tired. "You alright?......." Forgetting her silence, her thought intruded upon his mind once more, sounding almost concerned.......

na'Tatha watched silently as her homeworld flashed beneath her, realizing anew what she had pledged her life and honor to. The only reason that they weren't flying over ash and desolation was because these green meadows and forests had been bought with her comrades' blood - every square meter of it.

She broke the silence. "What exactly are we looking for? Geophysical features? Signs of habitation?"

Sahrai gave a half-hearted grin as he 'heard' Viree's question. "I'll be fine," he thought back, wincing inside at the deterioration of his sabacc face.
"What exactly are we looking for? Geophysical structures? Signs of habitation?" na'Tatha asked, startling Sahrai, though he suppressed outward signs of it. "Something like that," he replied, "but we're not close enough to everybody's-favorite-negative-feeling-emitter to need to search, yet."

Viree13 raises an eyebrow at the mouthful Sahrai just spouted. "What was that one again?..... Everybody's favorite what-y-hoo-ee?....." Her invisible self watches Sahrai out of the corner of her eye, but her main attention is focused on the mission ahead. Her wound twinges slightly, but she ignores it.....

Sahrai smiled wryly. "Everybody's-favorite-negative-feeling-emitter," he thought back, carefully and slowly articulating each syllable. "Got it that time?" he looked back at the displays, taking the ship a little lower to make it more interesting for himself.

Realizing that their destination was now in the hands of the two Jedi, na'Tatha decided to do something productive - such as eating. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a ration pack and broke the chemical heater, letting the exothermic reaction warm the food within. When it had warmed to her liking, she reached in, peeled the covers off, took a bite, and grimaced. Taarin chefs still had a few things to learn about making palatable field rations.
Fortunately, Taarin supply sergeants had recognized this problem decades ago. Reaching into a pocket on her vest, the subcommander pulled out their solution - a small bottle of the spicy B'a'ska sauce. She drizzled a small amount on the food and tried it again. Satisfied, she continued eating. A little B'a'ska went a long way, and completely masked whatever else the meal might taste like.

Viree13 watches the na'Tatha eat, and when she dribbles the strange sauce on her food, Viree13 sticks out a finger and catches some on it. She licks her finger and smirks. "Rather tasty......"

Sahrai caught a wiff of the smell, and his nose started running. "Wow," he croaked. "That must be really powerful stuff there." His spice-level was very low....anything too spicy practically set his tongue on fire and sent a flood through his nose. This was definately in that class. "How can you even eat that stuff?" he asked, his voice a little more normal.
"The source of the Darkness that I've been sensing since we got here," Sahrai thought back to Viree, to answer her question.

Lol, I figured I might make him like me in one way at least....I have a very low tolerance for spices, too.

lol. the Green Berets in particular used to always pack Tabasco sauce - they prob still do. I'm def a Tex-Mex fan myself. Btw, Luinnar, if you're invisible because your molecules are dissipated thru the room, how could you grab stuff without materializing?

Only military discipline kept na'Tatha from shrugging. "I suppose we can tolerate it because we've been brought up to it. I've seen five-year-olds eat sauces twice as potent as this." She took a few more bites before adding, "They're also one of our minor exports - the sauces, not the children."

Oh, she's not dissipated, she's a Shapeshifter, so she just turns her skin invisible, she doesn't actually dissipate, even though she can.... She'd have to change States of Matter for that.....

Viree13 nods. "Gotcha...." She snickers silently as Sahrai's nose begins to run......

Sahrai cocked a grin at na'Tatha's hasty correction. "I never would have guessed that, really," he said sarcastically. Blowing his nose on a tissue (...I'm not up to thinking of a Star Wars equal to a tissue right now), Sahrai closed his eyes and stretched out his senses. "We're just about there," he said, opening his eyes. "You can both start looking, now."

Viree13 raises an ivisible eyebrow. "Interesting......" She stands up and stretches, careful not to bump anything. Silently she goes over to na'Tatha and picks up the small bottle of sauce sitting beside her. With a grin, Viree13 holds it, open, above na'Tatha's head and looks at Sahrai. "Shall I?......"

Sahrai shook his head. I wouldn't advise doing that, he thought at Viree. Besides, I need you to look for any signs of a hidden, or non-hidden base. He resumed his search out the viewports, relying on his Force sense to tell him when he should circle around for another pass of the area.

Viree13 sighs and sets the bottle down. She returns to her seat and stares out the window, her eyes going vacant, even though you can't see them. All her senses are tuned outwards, down and around the ship, her whole mind sliding over the landscape, searching for any sign of hostile life..... lol
