there's something about the swelling music and the way the montage during sam's big speech is constructed that makes this scene verge on the obnoxiously cheesy, but there are some beautiful ideas in there.
It was a pretty sad scene.. it's like he just wanted to give the ring up right there and then in hope of ridding them of all their grief and suffering..

I thaught that the musisc added to the drama and it made the whole scene really moving! lol.
