Macar sat there, he pulled a pipe out, and started to smoke. He listened to Daine's music, as he sat there, pondering his past. He managed to get a quick glance at Deawen harp as it fell from the horse, he chuckled at the thought of having an orchestra in the middle of a swamp.

(What battle?)

Daine stopped playing and put her flute in her belt. The smell of soup made her lick her lips in excitment. "Hmm. That smells wonderful! Is it done yet? Wait how did you get it warm without fire?"

"That is a very good question Daine." Macar chuckles. "So how long will it take to reach Bredena?" (did I spell it right?) Macar turns to Deawen, "You should know."

(Go to my xanga. www.xanga.com/davys_locker. Ill be posting info about it there. And some pics. Its taking place at a friary nearby. Its a Lord of the rings reanactment of a battle. Im an Uruk. Its quiet exciting actually. Tomorrow evening is the date. DUM DUM DUM DUM)

when Deawen reached her bedroll she hardly understood what or who was talking. she collasped and stared dazed " yes it is ready ....it's a gift...." she said with great difficulty " two days if we keep a pace.." she shut her eyes and did not move for a while she finaly exhaled then inhaled softly she was asleep totaly drained of energy and gift.
Exaution was dangerous to those who suffered the gift it left you vuenerable and weak all that could be done was rest or to build a fire for them to regernerate from but Deawen didn't want to risk being spotted.

Aernel looked at the soup egarly she crept up to the kettle.

((sweet!!))

Daine was hungry enough now not to care how it had been warmed. Scooping a bowl of it she went and sat back on her stump. The stew tasted good in her mouth, the warmth of it making her eyelids droop. A few moments later she was asleep, the bowl hanging limply from her hands.

Macar sat near the water, his hood covering his face. He did his best to make it look like he was asleep, but kept one eye peered open, watching the water. 'Something isn't right' he thought, 'I dont know what it is.......but something.....' :disgust:

Aernel helped herself to Daine's bowl of soup.
Night Began to fall...Clouds in the west formed blocking the sun set Darkness slowly creeped across the marshes. the fires in the Distance glowed erirely.

(ok I am going to skip to morning since we should not be attacked here in the marshes ok?)

a Strange morning light appeared from the east the fog from the marshes dampened everything. Deawen woke with a start she sat up Refreshed. she yawned Aernel licked her face as she tried to stand up Bredol whickered Good morning Deawen saw Majority of her companions asleep. she glared slightly at her self she forgot to keep watch... " can't let that happen in the desert" she thought. with no dry wood and not wanting to risk smoke Deawen decided a cold Breakfast would be better.
she got out some of the dried fruit and meat. then she brushed out Bredol till his coat glimmered under the sun. " well now you really look like a Nobles horse" she thought Deawen made a small remidy of a fatty substance mixed with water she fed it to bredol Frist without hesitation he took it she patted his neck. then she moved on to Flarneth she held her hand out to the great horse in Greeting then she presented the fatty substance " come on now" she whispered " it'll keep you healthly once we get to the great sands" she whispered.

Macar glanced up at Deawen, "Don't worry, I was watching." He got up and stepped over to Deawen, "You should be able to light a fire, there is nothing for miles with the common sense to investigate smoke." He chuckled, "Beautiful horse, whats its name?"

Deawen watched macar from the coner of her eye " this one here Is Flareneth and that one there Is Bredol"
"we are too close to mordor I'd rather not take the chance"
she looked at Flareneth " I'll have Sen gave this to you then " Deawen put down the fatty substance in a bowl.
Deawen stood for a moment thinking of something to do.
Practice.. she walked over to her bedroll and pulled out her sword she unsheathed it a sharp ring of the metal sang medolicly. the black and silver Hilt and hand grip fit her hand perfectly. the pommel was a dragon circling a blue globe. deawen stepped carefuly to Sen " my lord" she whispered and a cheerful tone so not to alarm him " it's dawn already, if one wishes to stay ready for battle one would practice" she chimed she was smiling and trying not to laugh at the same time she stood up again. and jumped across a small puddle of water onto a larger peice of land it was as dry as the one she just left but it was larger. she began to stretch then she moved on to practicing sword movements. her skill was beautifuly preformed each step was precise. she moved again this time using very little steps. she stepped again and a flash of fire sparked from her feet she did it again then stopped.

((Yes when you said two days to get to Brendena I thought you were just tying to get us there faster. In reality it would be more like 400 miles, not exactly two days travel.))

Daine watched Deawen practice her sword-play with a hint of awe. The only weapons she knew how to handle were a sling and staff, not exactly ideal or impressive weapons. Sitting on the stump she had occupied the night before, she noticed the complete lack of sound, not a bird sang or frog croaked. The silence unnerved her, making her restless.

( yes it would be longer but trying to get us there faster...
Macar My Friend If you spell Comrads with an E you get the russian spelling sides it means companions so THere...and where are we on the bloody map Uhh well lets see we are in the Dead Marshes...and Bredena is Just off the southern tip of the Mountains before the sea of Rhun... as I said Earlier about Bredena it's very strange compared to the rest of Middle earth, Human based and what not.)

Deawen continued her practices in silence. her movements brought her around facing the erie lights she stopped transfixed and in silent enchantment. Aernel barked at some unseen creature Breaking Deawen's spell. Deawen sheathed her sword slowly the silver blade sang ever so quietly then abruptly stopped. " Daine I feel we should move on " she said. "we should be on the outer edge of the Marshes before Sunset yes?"
then the shifting sands
Deawen started packing up, in semi rushed silence. as she was rolling up her bedroll her gaze fell to the water she shuddered then something appeared a human in the water? Deawen fell back in fear she blinked and it was gone...Deawen's heart was racing she swallowed hard.

(that would be: Comrades. Oh well, same thing.)

Macar looked at Daine, "Do you have any skill with a blade? If not, I would be glad to be of service to you." He bowed in a sarcastic manner. "But have you any need of practice?" Macar looked at the sky with awe, "Red morning sailors warning. Looks as though a storm is approaching. And we just, how should I put it? Happen to be in the middle of a mass grave of a swamp!" He stepped over to the water's edge, "Daine, practice must come some other time, it is bad to be in a swamp and have a storm coming, that last thing we need is to be flooded in with the horses."

(Ah, the joys of unreliable internet. VERY sarcastically speaking, of course.)
*Sen rose the next morning, and watched Deawen practicing. With a few quick whispers, he lowered the wards he had set up invisibly around the camp, sending their souls back to rest. This swamp was full of the dead, and some did not rest as easily as the others. He saw the sunrise, too, and spoke quickly to Flarenath, getting him to eat the food Deawen had prepared, before turning to speak to the others.* I agree; practice must wait. The rains could very well erase our paths, or cut us off entirely. It would take time for these paths to dry, and that is what we do not have. Besides,
*Sen said, taking out the two black katanas he had strapped to his back, the purple rune writing having the faintest gleam in the proximity to Mordor.*
If anyone wants to try, I would be a willing sparring partner, on horseback or off, once we are clear.

(amen to that.... :annoyed: I know very well the curse of Unreliable Internet)
the mention of Rain Deawen did not a second opinion to get moving she quickly packed camp the saddle bags were compressed to smaller sizes she saddled Bredol and Flarenath. she pulled her cloak on and was waiting for the others.
Aernel whined alittle at Deawen " well come on then" Deawen sighed and Aernel jumped up into the saddle with Deawen. Bredol whickered slightly in discontent.
