Macar looked at her, "I don't know, my friends said this ring belonged to Feanor at one point in the history of the wold. But I dont really know, there is no evidence to prove it. It could be Numenorian or something of the dark arts. But never shall it leave my finger."

before deawen knew it Bredol had stumbled on harder ground. the fog was still to think to tell what she had stumbled on. carefuly she dismounted her foot sank softly it was wet from rain she bent down and touched the ground. it was course and heavy sand......
still the threat of rain could develop quicksand " well here it is the great sands" Deawen moved Bredol forward and kept walking a straight line.

Daine yawned and scratched her ears, rain always made them itchy. "Well at least were getting somewhere now." She srcatched her ears harder, why wouldn't they stop itching? It wasn't raining anymore so why were they unbearable itchy? Hearing what Macar said about the ring, she asked him. "Why will you never take it off? Did your sweetheart give it to you or something?" Daine gave Macar a mischevious grinn and ducked in case he tried to throw something at her head.
(( sorry guys, but my ears really were itchy a minute ago.))

*While all this random conversation about the past was going on, Sen just held his cloak around him, and listened intently for any noises out of the ordinary, or any sight through the rain. Nothing concerned him, so he was content to listen.*

Deawen looked less pale with fear and more Cofident.
the rain had cleared atleast but the clouds and fog remained. Deawen remained on the groundthe water from the sand made her hands burn.
"bug bites?" Deawen suggested to Daine.
it was close to two in the afternoon they still had a few hours to travel. Deawen kept going

Macar squirmed at Daine's comment, "No, not a sweetheart." His face darkened, he continued on, trying to avoid conversation from that point on.

Daine frowned, why had her remark about Macar's ring seem to be such a barb in his side? Shaking the thought out of her head, it was to deep for the moment, she skipped ahead of all the others and began singing. "The apple tree blooms white in the Land of the Living:
The shadow of the blossom falls across my door of stone:
A bird flutters in the branches, singing.
Green is my bird as the green earth of men, but his song is forgetfulness.
Listen, and forget the earth."

Deawen could help bt smile as she led bredol onwards, she had never loved anyone herself she avoided relationships It was not the way of a Dragon Tearess to fall in love Deawen had to set the standards for other women in the dragon tears. Sides who could love an adventureous Sword fighting lass?
soon the fog was carried away as they walked deeper into the Desert.
the clouds lifted and a harsh Bright setting sun took it's place.
a few hours passed the scenery changed very little just steeper ssand dunes. Close to night fall Deawen stopped "we better make camp" she yawned. Deawen began to unpack saddle bags she had found enough firewood for the night but she had extra if it was needed.
she stacked the wood and was ready to lit the fire with her gift. she hesitated for a monment fearing she might have black fire again she extended her hand and touched the wood which sprang up in flames. she sat back with a sigh. Deawen sent Aernel after kill in the mean time Deawen sat back relaxed on her bedroll.

Macar settled in for the night, sitting near a large rock. He sat there, fearing what he had found in the waters of the marshes. He pulled the hood over his heaed, covering his eyes, but refused himself any sleep.
He never did bother courting anyone. The pain of his past always holding him back. But the ring was something very dear to him.
Eventually he fell into a troublesome sleep, filled with dreadful dreams.

Aernel came back with a Dead rabbit Deawen thanked her dog and began skinning it. soon it was on a spit roasting. Deawen really wasn't hungry but she figured might as well cook something. it slowly roasted she would add a few spices here and there soon the aroma swept over thier camp Deawen had given Aernel the head and unwanter parts of the rabbit too keep aernel from stealing. Deawen got up and walked over to Macar she tapped his foot to wake him ' hungry?" she asked cheerfuly.

Daine who had been siting adn playing her flute, perked her ears up at the mention of food. She shooed away the lizards that had gathered at her feet and walk over to where Deawen had been cooking the rabbit. "Hmmm. Smells possitivly ravishing."

Feeling his foot tapped, Macar looked up, and responded to Deawen's question, "Not really, thank you anyways." Macar quickly went back to his quiet self. Thinking as he always did.

As Macar lay there, he fell asleep. But nigh, it was an un-natural sleep, filled with horrid dreams. He twisted and turned in his sleep, a cold sweat enveloping his body. He woke from the dream, pulling himself into a sitting position. He shook from the cold and out of fear, he drew his legs closer, his hood covering his dark figure in the night.

"I see you have them to, the marsh can to horrible things to people." Daine's voice which was normaly cheerful, sounded dismall and old. "The dreams, you know, don't usually come to people like Deawen and such."

Deawen sat back down and motioned to Daine to help her self to the rabbit. later as Deawen was on watch Deawen watched Macar silently she didn't bother waking him from his dreams that were obviously distressing. when she saw he had seemed to wake from his dreams she asked softly
" you have strange dreams too?" Deawen's cool gaze was placid she kept the fire low the fire light accented her face in shadows.
" dreams are said to be what is to come, " she said drawing shapes in the ashes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not far away something moved towards the fire light it crept ever closer. but it was not just one there was many all dressed in garb of the Desert, Raiders that preyed on travelers.
They moved in silently reaching the edge of the camp they waited for a moment before moving in lightning speed.
Macar sat there, whispering, "Yes, dreams plague me. Like a festering malignancy. Dreams can fortell what is to come, but mine are of an unexplainable nature. "
