Vennir sighed lightly, and then walked over to a tree, intending to pracitice his element creating/contronling. No sooner had the shapeshifters strung their bows that had Vennir started to move around small boulders.
(ok, question about the elements... can someone who can control water freeze it? g2g)

Thane rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. A good stretch later and he was out of bed, putting on his tunic. He stepped out side with every intent to do somthing productive. Unfrtunatly, his fairy friends had other ideas. The swarmed around him, thier lighted bodies twinkling merrily. "Not today, little ones" Thane grumbled, still groggy from sleep. He tried to shoo them away, but they mearly swerved around his hand and resumed thier postion. "I see you are playing with your imaginary friends again" A deep voice boomed. It was Kith. He felt the fairies beside him quiver then flee. "I would be, if you hadn't scared them off" Thane retorted. Kith smiled slightly. A rare sight Thane thought to himself. The man doesn't have nearly enough fun. "Race you to the practice field?" Thane asked hopefully. "I'll win" was Kith's only reply. Before Thane could say anthing the shapeshifter had shifted to wolf shape. He sped ahead of Thane, though the half elf was doing a valiant job of keeing up, though he failed. Thane approached the practice field winded from the long sprint, but Kith was still fresh. "Ready to spar?" Thane managed to say. "Any time" Was Kith's reply.

Groden grinned smugly as he saw the two shapeshifters firing at the targets. Their bows, at that range, could never match his strength. He wasn't all that far away from the target, only twenty-five paces or so, but that was far enough, considering he was using a throwing axe. He waited until he saw Tajien ready to fire, and then threw his axe. It whirled through the air and hit with a thud.
The weapon tore through the rear support for the target, which fell backwards, resulting in a clean miss by the shapeshifter. "I bet you weren't expecting that!" Groden hollered over his shoulder as he went to retrieve his weapon.
It was his way of enjoying himself - depriving archers of their targets. Sometimes he threw his axe close enough that he got a bullseye and still knocked the target over, other times he broke one of the suppports, like he had just done.
"You might be wanting to try that shot again," he said with another smug grin, which looked very weird on his dwarvish face.

Vennir dropped the small rocks he was moving around, and looked disgustedly (if thats not a word, it should be!) at the axe thrower over at the targets. Did he have any respect at all? Of course, Vennir himself had alot to learn, considering he had just gotten to this camp himself.
Sighing and rolling his eyes, he went back to what he was doing, but this time with air. He gently lifted himself of of the ground a couple of feet, and then came back down. This was awefully fun. He did it again, but a little higher. He then got high enough to land himself in the tree that he stood next to. He sat for a moment, but then decided he might as well do something productive. He leapt down to the ground, and landed with only a small thud. He then began to try and knock off the dead branches of trees with blasts of air. But, not having that much experience in fighting, one blast threw him backwards, and into the man that was throwing the axe. Oh no... He thought...

Gender: Male

Personality: Cold, impassive, emotionless
Appearance: Shoulder length brown hair, pale blue eyes, tall, gaunt, graceful
Skills(any special non-magical abilities, only if applicable): High reflexes, agility, and dexterity. Talented in the sword, crossbow, and longbow. Cunning and a great strategist.
Magic wielder(yes or no): Yes
Talents(inborn abilities, limit of three): Can control light and shadow, communicate mentally
Weapons: A curved longsword and a longbow
Attire: Dark silk robes, a light dark leather cuirass and vambraces, a dark head scarf to conceal his identity
History(optional): Born to elven parents, Decian lived what one would call a normal life up until he was 100. While he was away helping some elves deal with a group of goblins, a human force destroyed his hometown, killing his parents. When Decian returned to his destroyed hometown, a band of dwarven raiders were pillaging the ruins and captured Decian. For five months, he was tortured, imprisoned, and was within inches of death. Only the burning desire to avenge his parents kept him alive. Finally an elven band besieged and captured the castle that Decian was detained. Through manipulation, he managed to gain the loyalty of that elven band. He then began gathering more followers until he soon had a sufficient army, which he called the Death Bringers. With this army, he made his way to the elven leader and told him that he had swore complete loyalty to him. The elven leader allowed him and his men to fight as assassins, so that is what they have been doing every since.

Vincent sat on a tree branch.. Leaning against the trunk, he meditated on hatred, blood and death.. It was the thing that made him strong, his hate, and lust for blood and death. After a while, he opened his red piercing eyes and looked out to the rebel camp, if everything went well, he would have a fat purse by the end of the week...

The messenger boy shot a strange look at the axe-throwing dwarf, which resulted in his latest arrow missing altogether. He scowled at the target, which had a few close shots, but mostly the arrows were on the outer edge or had missed completely.

Just a note, Star_Gazer...Groden is a dwarf.
---
Groden was in mid-chuckle when suddenly a heavy weight crashed into him in the back. His chuckle changed to a grunt as he and whatever it was that hit him crashed into the ground. When he noticed a pair of legs in his line of sight, he realized that it was a who, not a what, that had hit him.
"What's the meaning of that?" he asked, shoving off of the ground, and dumping whoever it was off of his back. "I didn't mess up your aim, did I?" He glared at the taller being, an elf, as it turned out, who was actually still sprawled on the ground. "That was without provocation. Why, you've only been here a few minutes!" he rambled on, shaking his fist at the elf, though most of the anger was just for effect - he didn't really mind getting bowled over, so long as it wasn't a constant thing.

" Very amusing, Master Dwarf." Tajien said sarcastically in response to that comment, lowering his bow and leaning on it. "I was about to move to a different target anyway, so you've made my move quicker." he then added, raising his bow again, nocking an arrow to the string, and aiming and firing at another target, this one a fair distance away from where he stood. In midair, the arrow's path crossed with another, and as both arrows narrowly passed, they then hit their intended targets in the same instant, with dull thumps. Surveying his arrow in the target with a slight smirk, he was then aware of some sort of..confrontation, and he watched it with only mild interest.

(oh... sorry Aerandir!)
Vennir looked somewhat unsure of what to do, so he simply got up and resumed what he was doing, but this time he made sure he was anchored to the ground. One by one, dead tree branches fell to the ground, creating a heep of brittle sticks and withered leaves. Soon getting bored, he went over to where everyone was shooting, and sat down on the far right of the shooting line. He followed each archer's arrows, amazed that they hit their target each time. He briefly wished he could hit his target every time... Soon he found himself engrossed in watching the arrows as they sliced through the air, and landing with a soft thud on their intended target.

Almost every arrow hit their target, that is..one flew straight up over the top of the target, only to embed in a tree beyond.
"Nice shot, Rae." Tajien said, with the hint of a smirk. He had actually hit the bottom of her bow with his own when she had fired.
"If you do that again, I'm going to shove this bow-" Raevyn began angrily, but didn't complete her statement, because her bow was unceremoniously taken away from her.
"Ah, none of that!"

Vennir couldnt help but laugh at the two shapeshifters, he could clearly see they were brother and sister, by the way they bantered with each other, and in the similarities. between the two. As the two calmed down a bit, a thought came to him.
"Excuse me, but.. would either of you happen to know any good defencive moves for elements? Because Im not doing so great..."

"What element would you be, then?" asked an elf one target over, having just embedded her umpteenth arrow squarely in the centre of the target and now looking rather bored.

"Unless you can control fire, neither of us can help you." said Tajien for both himself and Raevyn, handing the latter her bow back..and getting hit in the shin for his efforts.

"Oh..." Vennir looked somwhat dissapointed at the two shapshifters, but then looked up at the other elf by the target.
"Well, actually, water, air and earth.. so three not really one... Unfortunatly, I only know offencive moves, not defensive." Vennir looked to the ground, somewhat ashamed that he didn't know how to use his own inborn traits.

The elf looked doubtful, and held out a palm. A small ball of crackling brilliant light grew above it, like a small flaming sun. "I don't think I can help you," she admitted. "I'm light, and only light. But I am rather good at it," she added with a grin, making the little sphere dance around her head where it made her silver hair glitter before disappearing.
