I must go with Aragorn/Elessar/Strider. He is a symbol of what I'd like to be, free but with an honorable purpose and wonderful companions on the journey of life.

Why? heh..
Though, would someone like Turin or Nienor be accounted as a favorite LOTR charatcer? Though, the Sil is not part of the trilogy.

....I suppose they wouldn't count in this particular part of the forum. If they did, I would say Beren....or Tuor....or Finrod Felagund....or Ecthelion of the Fountain, or Glorfindel of the Golden Flower, etc.

Mine's Sam, but Pippin and Faramir are close behind. Each have different reasons, but Sam is my hero. (Hence my username.) He's so loyal!
*became a hobbit today, is very proud of herself*

Congrats on becomg a hobbit! Sam is in my opinion and apparently yours too the most loyal character in all 5 books. Legolas is almost, but in TTT he has some heated words w/ Aragorn over fighting the Uruk-hai at Helm's Deep.

ol That's to hard of a question. But I'd probably have to say Galadriel, Elrond (though sometimes he frustrates me lol) and good old Sam.

I think Elrond's eyebrows are amusing. He arches them superhigh, and makes the funniest faces if you look at the still shot gallery. (I know, I'm weird.) The best face he makes is when Merry and Pippin run in. Go look at it! It's hilarious! (I'm not bashing his character by the way, I just think his eyebrows are amusing.)

I noticed the one look, but never rally paid attention to the eyebrows themselves. When I watch Fellowship again I'll look for them

Elrond's eyebrows are really funny. I laugh at a lot of the expressions he has, too.

I always noticed something about Elrond's face: He never smiles. Like period. He did at the end of ROTK when A&A were reunited. Other than that..he never smiles.
I thought that sometimes he probably always is frowning, since, Isildur didn't throw the Ring in Mt. Doom thus ending evil to shadow Middle-earth. But thats just my thoughts.

He really doesn't smile much, does he. I think PJ went a little overboard with the stern-Elrond style, but he has lived through a lot. He's a lot less likely to have a great time than the hobbits.
