Imho - you should definitely keep working on that! That was really well written!

you really think so? I don't have that much of a plot though... so if one of you would be so kind as to help me out a little I'd love to write a bit more!

Well...don't pay any attention to me, because I'm bad at this kind of stuff. But maybe you could have it about Teagen when she's older, and she's trying to find her father or something? I don't know; I always tend to over dramatize these some of things. Just a random idea.

What kind of name are you looking for. Sort of contemporary and modern or different and unique?

I confess: after seeing the Eragon movie, I was inspired to write a few stories based of Eragon.
The first story is about the origin of the first dragons and their riders. It's just a few paragraphs right now, but I figured I'd go ahead and ask if ya'll thought it was any good.
Long ago, before the time of the Riders, there were three sisters. These three sisters of the human race did belong; they were the offspring of Devotion and Bliss. The first born daughter was called Faith, she was the wisest of the three. Even the most sage of men of Faith did advice they ask; she appeared both old and young at the same time. The middle sister was named Hope, and she was the most childish of all; though her endless optimistic attitude allowed her to give more comfort than her sister, Faith, gave wisdom. The youngest sister was Charity, her heart was as large as the sky and her giving spirit had no end.
In this same time there were three brothers: Chivalry, Magnificence, and Honor. They were the offspring of Audacity and Gallantry. Chivalry, the eldest, was as brave or braver than Bravery himself; the only thing he feared was fear itself. Magnificence was the proudest of the three brothers, and the most foolish in his attachment to temporary things. Honor, even though he was the youngest and smallest, was the most important. He constantly tried to do the almost impossible and, in his own way, was braver than Chivalry and more foolish than Magnificence. Altogether the brothers had become the first heroes.
Before long it became time for Faith, Hope, and Charity to marry. Devotion and Bliss soon started the search for husbands suitable for their daughters. Devotion held meetings with men who wished to marry one of his daughters, while Bliss instructed her daughters on how to be good wives.
Audacity and Gallantry heard of Devotion and Bliss’ search, and sent their three sons to Devotion’s next meeting.[/i]

It's finished, but I'm not sure if I can post... Parts of it I feel don't quite go with the PG rating of the forum.
I'd be happy to PM it to you though!

I was watching a show about Sperm whales and they're lives, and i got inspired.
The Dragon slowly wound his way through the huge underwater smokestacks. They're bodies were mineral deposits of bluey grey and black. Huge plumes of hot, black water gushed out of their open mouths into the watery depths. There were hundreds of them, all sitting silently on the bottom of the deep, dark ocean.
The Dragon's scales had faded long ago, he was now as black as the smokestacks around him, save for the massive white scars all over his body that contrasted with the black, and gave him away to predators. When he was in his prime, he was a vibrant blue, he had huge, modified wings that were powerful, he used them to swim swiftly under the water. He had a long tail, perect for steering. He had a magnificent crown of steel coloured horns surrounding his head, a new one grew each year, if you cared to count, there were over a thousand of the shiny horns. Before, he had been unmarred by the ravages of predators and humans, now his body was a tapestry of scars and bite marks.
Before, he had many pods, his birth pod, then his first two harem pods, that he won in many fights. They followed him like puppies following their master. They gave birth to many of his offspring. Then the humans discovered them, protection was put in place for their species, but it did little good. Many of his pods were killed for they're beautiful hides and cancer curing horns. he had four other pods, one claimed by an earthquake, two by a disease that ravaged the Dragon population and the last, by natural causes.
At one time, he had been the greatest of the Dragons, strong, proud. Everything a Dragon should be. But the humans had gotten ruthless in their illegal killing of his kind. They did it in secret and the government had no power to stop them. So now, he swims alone, his mournful song his only company in the darkenss of the oceans.
He swam as fast as his wings could take him, over 300 mp/h, almost faster than a swooping peregrine falcon. He spotted a looming shape on the hoizon, a whale or a large shark. He turned his head, and tried to see what the beast was. His eyes had gone milky over time, but he could make out the distinctive shape of a blue whale. The largest mammal on earth was no match for him. He rushed towards the whale, intent on getting some lunch.
The whale turned briefly and let out a whale scream, something never heard by humans, the Dragon opened his jaws and bit the whale, ending its life swiftly. He chewed on it as he continued South.
He reached Antarctica in a matter of hours, he rested quietly in one of the shallows, then slid back into the ocean. He was searching for squid. He dove to the very bottom and continued his search. He ascended for a bit then took a nose dive into the hardened sand at the bottom of the ocean, his nose, with its shovel shape helped him to get into the sand. He shuffled around, letting the sand cover him.
He waited there for a matter of days until he saw his prey. A colossal squid, its peachy colour gave it an almost harmless look. Once it had drifted closer to him, he shot out of the sand and latched onto it, his wings folded tightly to his back. The squid retaliated, its laserated suckers on its tentales and arms tried to slice his skin, but to little avail, the Dragons hide was thicker than a whales blubber, and the scales harder than diamonds. The Dragon manouvered himself so that he could bite the squid, wary of its sharp beak.
Suddenly he felt something latch onto his back, it was another squid, ready for a meal. Now it was a bit tougher for the Dragon to fight, he tried to keep the sensitive wing membrane out of reach of the laserated suckers of both squds, but it was hard, soon his wings were torn, one of the squids had somehow managed to bite part of his tail off. With dying strength, the Dragon started to ascend, hoping to shake off his attackers in the sunlight. The Dragon noticed some think out of the corner of his eye, another squid. Soon there were three angry squids attacking his ancient body.
After many minutes of trying to get away, the Dragon stopped, the squids suprised at the stop of his resostance let go and shot away, one of them decided to eat the other two. The Dragon let out a low moan, one that sent shock waves across the oceans. He slowly drifted to the bottom and looked at his surroundings, so it would be, the last Dragon would die at the last frontier on Earth. He closed his eyes and soon, his gills stopped. The last Dragon lay on the bottom of the ocean, his ancient body slowly drifting up to the surface. His soul would forever carry on, traversing the oceans as he had once done in life.
There, all my creativity used up for the day, C&C welcome.

Cool, Dark!
Everyone writes such serious stuff compared to what I write. Not that my stuff is really goofy or anything, but I would seriously toy with the idea of using living cupcakes. I like to do weird stuff, like have really bizarre characters and places.
