"There have been several people in and out all evening," Nimrodel said, watching as Dr. Merrick and Celeb Dulin went out to the dance floor. "I have yet to recognize anyone."

Celeb took the offered hand, and she and Dr. Merrick moved onto the dance floor. "I've never really danced before," Celeb said, and then she blushed.

Arda sighed as the couple swirled onto the dance floor, her chance missed once again. She was hoping beyond hope that she would find her escort soon enough.

[OOC: *slaps self* I sound so pathetic. I don't know how you can all put up with me. Maybe I should take a break for the night...]

"Oh, don't be sad!" Nimrodel smiled reassuringly. "If he's here, then we'll find him somehow... did you agree upon meeting each other this evening?"

"Well, neither have I," Dr. Merrick said. "So this can be a new experience for me." He observed the other dancers move before beginning his dance with Celeb.

Celeb looked over to Arda from where she and Dr. Merrick had awkwardly started dancing and saw Arda's forlorn expression. Celeb called over to Arda, "You can have the next dance with him, if you like my dear!"

Then Dr. Merrick took Celeb around into a fun twirly dance step!

Arda smiled reassuringly at Celeb,"No dear, you have fun. You look lovely together. I really must be going. Have a nice night."

[OOC: @ Nim: Nah.. I wasn't exactly planning on meeting him tonight and niether was I expecting him to be on. Maybe I'll see him in the morning. G'night everyone! ]

"All right then Arda!" Celeb called with a smile. "Good night!"

Nimrodel waved farewell to Arda, then smiled, watching Celeb Dulin and Dr. Merrick. They were both excellent dancers, despite their comments to the contrary.

Dr. Merrick got more relaxed as he twirled Caleb. He nodded farewell to Arda when she turned to leave, regretting that he could not bid her farewell.

Celeb also relaxed as she danced with Dr. Merrick. They twirled and swayed across the floor as if they had been doing it for years...

Nimrodel gazed at the decorations - they ranged from the beautiful and elegant to some that were downright silly, but all looked as if they belonged. She refilled her glass.

Celeb hated to leave, but it was getting late. She politely thanked Dr. Merrick for the wonderful dance, and kissed him on the cheek goodbye. Then she picked up her skirts and went outside to wait for the carraige that would take her home. Before she left the room though, she called out to everyone, "It was a beautiful ball! I'm sorry I'll have to miss the next one. Good night everyone, and Merry Christmas!!"

Liadan and her partner broke off dancing. Liadan walked over to where a woman was standing near the drink table. "Let's see if I can figure out who some people are." she said under her breath. Outloud, she greeted the stranger. "Hello, how are you doing?"
