She turned to Idril and greeted her "Hey Idril! And hello Remus!"

Idril realized she had things to do. "Well, it was nice to come and say good morning to you all, we'll be back in the evening!" She smiled and exited the ballroom.

Mel was panicking. "Come ON, Charlie! We're so late already!" She said as her partner Charlie gawped at the size of the venue.
"Mel, listen. Just chill. OK? We came a little late... I'm sure the others won't mind... but look how big this-" He was cut short by Mel grabbing his hand and dragging him inside.
Now it was Mel that was dawdling. She couldn't believe how big and beautiful everything was, especially the Christmas tree. It was so richly decorated in lights, and tinsel, and baubles that caught the light and seemed to illuminate the room with...
All of a sudden, Charlie waved in front of her face. "Come ON, Mel! We're so late already!" He chimed mockingly. He pointed to a group of people sitting near the tree... Ellie and Gwen, Elen and Legolas, Caunion and Mrs. Gamgee, and Idril and Remus, who were beckoning them to come over and sit with them.
"Hey everyone!" Mel said happily. She then gave everyone a big hug.
"This is Charlie."
Charlie smiled.

"Bye Idril!" Ms.Gamgee exclaimed, she suddenly saw a lady burst in through the door with her escort. When she reached the table Ms.Gamgee realized it was Melt, and threw her arms around her and embraced her "Mel! Welcome! Don't worry, everyone comes and goes anyway!" after Mel introduced her escort Ms.Gamgee had steadied her self, she patted down the folds of her wine-coloured dress and extended a hand to him "Hello Charlie, I'm Ms.Gamgee!"

Linwe and Daniel walked over to the big group of people enjoying themselves and laughing. "Hi everyone!" Linwe said cheerfully.

HF was very excited that many more people have arrived since she had last been at the ball. She pulled on Frodo's sleeve to go and visit with all her friends. She smiled at Linwe, "Hello! You look lovely!"

"Bye Idril!" Elenriel exclaimed before turning and smiling at Mel and Charlie; and Linwe and Daniel. "Welcome." Legolas said in greeting.
"It's great to have you here!" Elenriel echoed. "That sounds nice sis!" she said smiling as she turned to Arwen. "You can't go wrong with that! I'm doing the same. I just love having this time off. Don't you?" she asked the others.

A couple of late arrivals came through the doors arm in arm, shedding winter miscellany. Meldawen, rosy-cheeked from the cold, looked around for people she knew.

Caunion watched the people pour in the ballroom with a growing interest. As those that he recognized came in, he waved at them. He then noticed Ms.Gamgee beckon Meldawen over. Smiling, he nodded his head politely and said, "How do you do?"
