Not as annoying as the "You don't like anyone" stares. I got those stares and comments today in chemistry so just to stop them from doing that, I made up a half-true story that I liked some girl named Alexandra who lives in New York(though I once did have a crush on a girl named Alexandra and another named Sandra but the former lived in Tampa (believe it or not, but I had a crush on that girl even though I saw her for three days in an orchestra reheresal) and the latter lived in Deland, that isn't exactly false) that I met online over Myspace. I love lying to people like that even though I know it's wrong and everything. After all, lying is the most fun a girl (or in this case, a boy) can have without.......*can't say the rest of the sentence*.

Yeah, that too. Well, guess what? I get asked why I don't fancy any of the guys from our class every single day. They're supposed to be hot but I fail to see that

I think you are a very wise young lady, RA! As I have probably said before, I'm 18 and I have never dated. I can't see how going out with a guy before I'm ready to find a husband can be helpful. I can hang out with my guy friends all I want, without the jealousy, emotions, and heartache the closeness of dating brings.
Sure, some people say dating helps them "find what they want" in a spouse, but to me thats all a bunch of talk. I trust that God will find me the right man in His own timing, and that takes off all the pressure everyone feels about finding a bf/gf. I'm happy being single, thank you very much!

Yes, I think that all of you girls are very wise to wait for boyfriends. Another thing that appalls me is how guys treat their girlfriends....It's a bit more animalistic, in my opinion. Not entirely sure how to describe but anyways, do any of the girls share that view?

Ack! That made me smile, I'm just like that! xD
Anyways, I'm pretty much with the rest of. Can't really be bothered to date anyone. It's just not worth it, even if you like him (her). And plus, I'm 14 it's my time to LIVE, not be held down by even more stress and frustration when things go wrong.
Don't get me wrong! I'd kill to have someone to snuggle with and hug etc. but not now. I'm ok for now. :]

I know what you mean, although I more usually see how girls treat their boyfriends, being around mostly girls all the time But it seems that some guys think it alright for them to cheat, lie, ignore, and otherwise abuse and degrade their girlfriends, while they immediately drop any girl who might try the same nasty tricks.
I'm afraid such things have led several of my girl friends to give up on guys altogether! *sigh* It's just so much easier to avoid the whole catastrophic situation.

Even if they're hot, they're dorks.
Seriously, the longer I'm in high school, the more I've noticed that these freshman guys aren't ANY different from my 11 year old brother!

^Ha! Good one Gwen....
Srry to change the subject and all that, but have any of you ever noticed how girls hang on the guys that ther're dating?
It's pathetic! It's like they don't trust the guy not to float off or something ....

My friends were talking about guys and they were all telling each other how many boyfriends they've each had so far.. and when they asked me, I said.. "None at all.. I'm pure." and they just gave me the most genuinely horrified expressions and they were in literal shock at the fact that I'm in grade 10 and I've never had a boyfriend.
I don't think it's necessary at all.. as Riniel said, what are the chances that I'm going to end up marrying anyone that I date now? It's stupid.. and there's too much responsibility and dedication involved, and if you just talked to another guy, your boyfriend would automatically think that you were cheating. I'd rather do what I want on my own time and not have to worry about pleasing my boyfriend and keeping him happy.
Enjoy the single life, girls. =) Exactly, people think its strange I haven't dated a guy either. I say if you find someone and you really care about them then dating wouldn't hurt but dont date someone unless you really care about them but this is just my opinion. Caunion the Frost Lord wrote: Well, I've tried to read emotions on girls' faces but it is a bit difficult at times, unless they are really agitated (they tend to show that quite clearly). But really it's hard. I try to hiding my emotions but I can't so I just display the face that I am bored and tired and that usually works. One thing I incredibly dislike about infatuations is that you fall for one girl, you feel you have to have her even though you know there are hundreds of girls out there that can, more or less, match your type.....(please tell me if I have some logic and reason in what I'm saying or if I lost it completely) Yea I know how you feel, you fall for someone one person when theres a bunch of other people who may like you or even just one other person and you dont care about them that way...you like the other person who you can never have....in a way or dont feel like you can... Has anyone else noticed that the nice girls always tend to go for the idiots? It happens in my school a lot, even to the point where I've seen about 10 different girls with the same guy in one year.
Yea, a bunch of my friends who are girls at my school (though it small) tend to like that one guy whos the dorkiest even if they don't admit it...Then again alot of guys just fall for the airhead pretty girls...? Correct me if im wrong, but that just seems shallow.

True. It's quite amazing actually to see how really nice girls fall over head at the dumbest brute that could be seen.
Really, I could hardly care less if I don't have a girlfriend. I just want to make sure I have the ability to manage a girlfriend before going off and seeking one.

Makes me sick to think that girls actually do that. Some of the nicest, most sensitive, and smart guys out there don't even get the chance to go out with the girl they like because she's busy falling head-over-heels for the idiot jock that can't do any more than smile and flex his muscles. Sick.

personally, I feel attracted to people who appeal to me artistically. that is the conclusion I have come to - no football-for-brainers for me!

I have been meaning to join this club for awhile, but have put it off too long.
I like people with brains too, like those who appreciate good books and movies *coughcoughlotrcoughcough* I have a lot of guy friends who don't look the greaest, but they actually have brains and great personalities and appreciate the arts. (that sounds sort of weird)

Really, I could care less if the guy could smile at me passing by or flex his muscles, that is just a bonus for me. If he is smart and is nice (a must) and looks at me above the neck, then sure, I'll feel attracted to that guy.'Course I wouldn't mind if he had muscles too.

I don't really care if the guy if pretty or sth ... as long as he has long hair and brains full of nice stuff I'm okay with him.
