Wasn't Sauron the most beautiful being? I'm pretty sure I read or saw somewhere that he had been beautiful, and then was corrupted.
Voldemort wasn't evil when he was a kid. He only picked on the people smaller than him. Who doesn't do that?

But you have to think about his parent's influence on his life too. His dad left, his mom (as we saw in the 6th) wasn't all that "there" for him, he was in an orphanage...it would've been tough knowing your dad didn't want you. So he could've been good, we never know.

Yes. And perhaps his whole family plays a part in it too. Afterall, in the sixth book, it says their family was unstable due to marrying their own cousins. So that might've been a part of Voldemort's evilness, unstability.

Yep, Voldie was a bad egg from the beginning. How Voldemort always calls Muggleborns mudbloods and filthy, when he himself is not a pureblood???

I didn't really get that either.
So, does anybody know for sure on the whole Sauron thing?

No idea But on the Voldemort thing, it's basic psychology (or something beginning with psych) that if you call someone a particular name, you are subconsciously believing that you are the same, but you call other people that name to hide your emotional insecurity and to make your subconscious think that you are not alone

Are you meaning me? If so, all I said was that I don't understand what bow_and_arrow said. I seriously don't, I got confused. I get confused easily, though.

Hey, hey, don't get all in a fluster about things. Maybe bow_and_arrow could explain again if DarkPalantir is still muddled. There's no need to get annoyed, I'm sure it was just a situation of crossed wires.

Also, Voldemort was disgusted by his muggle father. So he's kind of trying to get back at him by killing other muggles, and muggleborns.

Sauron also was able to take the form of a beautiful being. He was captured by Ar-Pharazon and taken to Numenor, where he had a guise of beauty --and corrupted most of the Numenorians. After the fall of Numenor he was unable to take a beautiful form again.
