Well you are only one month older than me ya know. ;)

British weather I believe is needed for a topic. he country was covered in snow for a few days....except where I am....:duh:...A few weeks ago it was windy, it was frightening. So loud and it made the house creak and groan. :hide: I don't like high winds. :-(

Yeah, our weather has been rather wacky for a while. I'm glad to see that it is neither windy or snowy here, I hate playing football in both. You try turning a 25 yard screamer over the bar when it is swirling around in the wind, and it's so cold you can't feel your finger tips. Take it from me; it ain't easy :P (And yes, I have done that before ;) )

But unlike you JF, I do like high winds. makes things a bit more interesting :P

Same here JF. That was the weather around our house down to a tee.

^ yup yup, we had ridiculous winds up here too. you could hear them howling round my building and i was so glad i didn't have any lectures to go out for. it started snowing a little bit at one point but it never settled, which was darn annoying.

A couple of months ago, when it was windy, a drainpipe blew off our house, and nearly hit our next door nieghbours car! So you can probably imagine I was praying that nothing else was blown off the house, especially as it was much more windy this.

I loved the snow. All of us got detention for refusing to come inside! Yay!

Heh, I love the wind. It's hilarious to see small people lifted up. But I don't like the falling trees and all the people who died and stuff.

Down here, winds are a bit strong but I doubt they're going to pick up any one here. Though I wish it would snow here even for a week.

I'm disappointed though I have had not snow where I live. There's nothing more depressing than knowing everywhere else is covered in snow, and it's sunny where you are. :-(

^ Hear, hear. Here I am, in the middle of summer, and everyone's having fun playing in the snow. *sigh*

Oh well, next year I'm going to France with my school, so that should be fun. I wish it was England though. When I leave school, I plan to take a year off and spend half the year in England, and the other half in Greece. *gets the figgibles just thinking about it* :bounce:

... it's not going to happen though. :P It's too radical. And I can't spend that much time away from my family and friends. *is disappointed*

Aw, I'm sure you could manage for a year, it's not as if you couldn't talk to them every day. You will like England, I'm sure you will. Everyone likes England.....except the Scots, French..Irish....Welsh......:P

Haha, I'm sure everyone likes England. After all, there is no reason not to like England, right?

I think I like it so much because it's just so different to here... Australia's the driest country in the world, and England gets heaps of rain. There are 5 year old kids out in the outback who don't even know what rain is  And it's got so much more recorded and architectual history... I mean, the aboriginies were here for 10 000 years before the english finally came, and they didn't actually build anything, and the only record of their history is of the rock paintings. Yeah, you know. And the White Cliffs... I want to see them so badly. :D Everythings a lot more... green :D

ah yes, "england's green and pleasant land" i love it, but you're right - we do get a ridiculous amount of rain, especially where i am up north.

i'm sure there are plenty of reasons for not liking england - like JF said, the scots, irish, welsh and french find reason enough. even the cornish hate us and they are actually english. i think most of it's to do with the fact that we're only a tiny speck on the map yet at one point we ruled a quarter (or was it a third?) of the world. the countries we ruled (and i include wales, scotland and ireland because they see themselvs as subservient to england) resent that, and countries like france are jealous because their empire was never as big. the norman invasion didn't help anglo-french relationships much either, but that was their fault.

They aren't exactly our best friends either...the feeling's mutual :P

Me and my friends have these grand plans of touring Europe, Australia and New Zealand one day. I'm pretty optimistic that we'll eventually see them through ^^
