Well, this is just wonderful, my bow sting is fraying, so now it is in the shop. And we found out the arrows I'm using are to heavey and now we need knew ones.

What kind of arrows were you using before?
Archery-related rant:
The other day I had an archery practice after school and I probably have the WORST bow ever... it's too light to shoot with. I need a 26-pound one (or more) but I have a 20-pound which just doesn't shoot as well. And I had to coach a few new archers today (one of them snapped a $5.00 arrow of mine against the metal target stand, too) and it was hell. We were straddled like maybe five metres away from the target? HOW can the team shoot that close... it made us look really pathetic. Stupid n00bs. And someone broke my sight, too... the sight part of the sight literally got snapped right off the metal, which will never do. My first tournament this year is on May 2nd and I am SO stressed!

I don't no what kind of arrows they were, they were my brothers. They were going below my sights because I have the pounds low (I need to work on strengthening my arm, 5 month without shooting did not do me good.) so the man to the bow shop said in need lighter ones.

I had to quit lessons *cries* My dad says I might be able to take them again in a few years. Money is too tight.

Ahhh... the man was probably right... what's your draw weight?
Today.......
.......I got a new bowstring ... nothing was wrong with my old one of course... but we're trying to get cleaned up before our first tournament. And my teacher made me wax it, though I was doing just fine without the wax. I get to help our team design our logo this year... yay!

^ooh..I envy you. I really wanna do real Archery. I've only done it once.
I think this summer I'll buy a real bow on my own.
I dont think there is a place close enough in my town for me to take lessons.

Well you could always shoot on your own just for fun... it's pretty basic. Nothing like riding a horse, say
Just play around in a field or something... if you aren't serious about competing and all, the only thing you really have to master is your posture, the way you pull back and your aiming *shrug* pretty basic.
Fun though, isn't it?

I'm so happy! A new place just opened up near by! But they're even more expensive than the last place. *sighs*
We had a class tournament not long ago. It was Class One against Class Two (I was in Class Two) and we beat them really well. We hit a lot of bull's eyes in the accuracy round, and even more in the form round.
Anyone else have similar tournaments?
