I agree. Season one's plot was much more thought out than season two, and season two had more entertaining bits.
A bit off topic... when did the episode The Parting of the Ways air? My friend and I were wondering if the kiss between The Doctor and Jack came before the kiss of Rodney and Carson (in which the circumstances were a bit different, but hey) in Stargate Atlantis. Funny thing to be wondering, I know...but that's just my way.

Kess wrote: And tonights episode was simply amazing. My favvie of the season so far. Even with no kittens. I wasn't very good at following what was going on cos I was struggling to work the rowing machine one legged at the time, but that didn't stop me throughly enjoying it
So, I just saw the new episode.
I agree, AMAZING episode. Poor Doctor always getting slapped. XD Whether it was better than the kittens, ehh...I'm still debating. The ending of Gridlock is still my favourite of the season. But, this was a great episode.
I understood most of what was going on, except when the Doctor would pull his signature move of speaking at 90 mph in geek language. XD I just sort of smiled and nodded.
Had some great lines too,
"Science geek? What does that mean?" XD Like he doesn't know...
"James Bond?!! ... Really?"
So...I'm ridiculously excited for Jack to appear. Well...leap. XD Ha ha ha!!
But Kess, you have a Jack/Torchwood poster?!
My god, I'm really jealous of all this Doctor Who/Torchwood merchandise that you have! The only Captain Jack I'm reassured by is Johnny...XD Although, that poster creeps me out...considering its 6 inches away from my face at night. XD
But, I'm glad we're all excited for Jack and I'm glad we can all agree that he just makes everything better because he's just SO cool.
As for which series, ehh...I don't really care. I like them all!! XD I think they all deserve big hugs! XD
Oh, and I've been meaning to say...has anyone noticed the music in this series? I for one just LOVE it! It's so different than the last two. Really well done I think. Sorry, just random music nerd thought there.

Well I'm very envious of your POTC one! Has anyone else noticed how similar Jack Harkness is to monkey Jack in POTC? They're both travellers with an unknown past and immortality. I think they should meet up sometime.
I agree on the story line comment, my first episode I ever saw was the empty child, and I thought that was really clever, and it kind of went a bit down hill though. The way they beat the Lazarus monster in the last ep just reminded me of Spiderman 3 real bad. (If you haven't seen this movie yet, sorry )
Music? I can very rarely hear it over the rowing machine and the buzzing sound my old TV makes. But I'll make a special effort next time.
(Glad you've bought back your top banner Montana, I've always loved that one )

Ooh, you have a Dalek alarm clock? I would like to get one.

Actually what would be even cooler is a remote controlled Dalek, much like the little robots they sell.

I've seen those and I really want one but they're very expensive. Megh.
Anyone else incredibly depressed that there'll be no DW tonight? They show us glimpses of Jack then cruelly snatch it away from us! *sulks*

^ yeah, i'm well annoyed. jack's return is the one thing that's kept me watching this series, and now they're winding me up by making me wait another week. even worse, it's because of eurovision.

A remote control Dalek, eh?
*evil laughter* Now, you could do some damage with one of those...ha ha ha ha ha...they'd be fun.
But, I think I'd rather a Dalek alarm clock scaring the crap out of me by screaming at me that I'm going to die. My vibrating cell phone scares me enough already.
But, yes. I'm incredibly depressed that Doctor Who has been pushed back. Actually, I just find it ood. *cracks up at stupid joke* How does this Eurovision have the power to move Doctor Who?! How incredibly rude!
I suppose I would've been able to cope with it, but like you guys said...they're killing us with glimpses of Jack. GAH.

Death by Jack teases? That's interesting, and no doubt possible. I nearly died last year when I saw a preview for the new season of Doctor Who and realized it wouldn't come out for a month.

God knows. Its basically this incredibly cheesy contest comprimising of the worst bands from each contest. And the best one never wins because it's sooooo political it's unbelievable. And the commentator always gets drunk. It really, really sucks. Since when does that trump Jack?
You're lucky its only DW you have to do that for. I feel the same every new series of Lost, House, Bones and Greys Anatomy. Why can't we all share our TV and get it at the same time?

well, here in the States instead of Eurovision pushing things back its American Idol. That show can just rot in the gutter for all I care. Phff!

Oi, I agree. American Idol, *blech* But what's even worse is that I don't have British telly here in the States. Which means I have to wait for someone to upload it on tvlinks to see it. What did you think of the Lazarus Experiment? I thought it was a bit interesting. I laughed when the Doctor met Martha's mother. He has such an interesting connection with his companions and their mothers.

Woooooooooow!!! I'm so glad I didn't have to work this evening, cos that was a stunning episode! Yes, it was very similar to Sunshine, but I loved that movie, so it didn't matter It was the nittygritty sci-fi I love so much with lots of screaming and running and tank tops And it was very cool that they did it in real time. And I actually liked the Martha/Doc love in that ep, it was really heart wrenching.*is in serious DW hype mode*
