Yes, I agree. I couldn't see Gweneth doing it. She was good in Sky Captain, but, like you said, I can't see her being amongst the pirates. She doesn't seem courageous enough. Not enough of a tom boy I guess.

Was he really? Jude Law as an Elf. lol. I couldn't see him Legolas, but I could actually see him as one of the background people. Maybe Celeborn even. That would have been interesting.

Yes! That's the word I was looking for (but my brain let me down) - tomboy. I think Keria has that look or quality about her, that does make you believe that this posh person can be both... when the ocassion calls for it.

Hmm... yes it would have been interesting... maybe even Elrond who know? :eyeroll:

Yeah. I think Elrond is great though.

I was actually just imagining Keira in the role of MJ. I think that could be really interesting. She would have a really intriguing look with red hair I think.

Sorry, getting off topic here.

Who's going to see PotC 3 again? I want to try to go again some time this week.

Me! Me!

I had an alarming thought at 6 in the morning on Saturday - I need to see Pirates again. And my brother had the same thought... not at the same time.... I mean another time... because.... if it had been the same time... that would have been... er... weird. :lost: So we're going to watch it next week we think! :D

Very fun. lol. I had that thought the night after I saw it. I was looking for a movie to watch, but that was all I wanted to see. :P

Well it took me a while longer, because I was still harbouring some grudges over the film - there are some aspects of it I will never like, but here are too many brilliant things to like, I can't let the bad outweigh the good. When I saw DMC, before I had left the cinema I said I wanted to watch it again (and we never did manage to) but this time, I know we will. :-)

Aye, but like FOTR to ROTK, I think I may just prefer COTBP to AWE because it's a happier film, with no real deaths and characters that have yet to change into a) dead beings or b) not happiest beings in the world. ;)

I think everyone here has now aquired the I-Must-See-AWE-As-Many-Times-As-I-Can Syndrome. I swear, as soon as I came out of the cinema the only thing I could think of was seeing it all over again. Obsession or excitment? :P

Hmm.. could be both. :P We fans did not do AWE proud though, it missed out on beating the weekend box office record. :-( It even did worse than DMC last year (which set the record that Spiderman 3 beat this year). Soo... maybe that is a sign that people either don't like it enough to go and see it again, or it's took a while for people to decide they need to watch it again.

Here's what I think of the three movies.

CotBP: All around great adventure. Funny stuff and Serious Action combind.

DMC: More fun then anything else.

AWE: More serious action then funny stuff. Like a grande finale. Packed. It had funny stuff but it was a heavier movie than DMC.

*nods* I completely agree. The scenes on the island in DMC expecially, they don't really add anything to the film storywise, they're just there for the entertainment value. Same goes for the big fight in the wheel. Don't understand why so many peple don't like DMC.

Ah yes. I think DMC is fantastic. Could be Sparrow at his best. ;)

So many don't like it? That is weird. It is so entertaining. The only thing I really didn't like was that it didn't have a concluding ending, but now that I have seen the third movie it doesn't bother me. ;)

Oh, yes. Critically it was even less popular than AWE. Most reviews of DMC were just packed with insults and abuse. Even the great Jack Sparrow was not enough to make most critics like it. But who really cares what critics think? Most didn't even like LOTR. :eyeroll:

I would disagree with that, lots of reviews I read for LotR were jam-packed with praise. But you're right, DMC really didn't get good reviews. Obviously, however, this has no bearing on how a movie sells, because neither did Spiderman 3 and look at it :P That's okay, AWE doesn't have to be a huge seller for me to love it.

Yeah, but do you live in UK? ;) And do you read English reviews? :teehee:

Critically over here, LOTR was liked until the other films came out and then we heard the same old rubbish like we have heard with DMC and AWE. Audience wise though, we've loved both trilogies. :D

I saw it today *squees*. It was so awesome! I really want to see it again and I hate going to the movies so it takes a lot to get me to go see a film more than once in theatres. (I saw DMC twice though).

I know which scene you hate JF but I loved it when Norrington stabbed Davey when he asked him if he feared death. It made me feel better about the death scene as a whole for some reason.
