"That girl, she's inexperianced" she didn't explain how she knew that, she just did. "She's like me" she picked up her stuff. "Thankyou, if they'd found me first i would have gone with them, i hate liveing rough. I'd much prefere to be on you side though" she swung her small bag onto her back.

Mai nodded and looked around them again, "Well, we could go back to the car? It's not that far, I don't think." She tried to retrace their steps in her mind, and decided it wasn't too far away. "Will you be strong enough to drive or shall we find somewhere to stop first?" She asked, looking at him earnestly.

"I'll be fine," Raye reassured her and finally stood up after a few more recovering breaths.
"How will I know if you're still there, though? Keep skin contact?", Raye asked and then decided it was important to mention something else, "And I'm sorry for not looking for Tai... but he can take care of himself."
With guilt weighing down on him, Raye glanced at the swamped floor and pretended to be interested in the poor state of his worn-out boots - partially afraid to see Mai's new expression.

"No thanks is in order, you need me as much as I need you and that`s it. We have a common cause and it is only sensible we watch each others backs."

Darius said as he grabbed the last of his items and put them into a bag, he grabbed the bag, but soon took out another bag. He gazed at Marianne with a smirk as he held it at hand.

"I believe this shall prove a little surprise for anyone entering this place..."

He said before starting to set explosives around the bar, he wasn`t an expert, but understood the basics so that was enough for him to create a high volatile and dangerous trap. After Darius was finished with the explosives he led Marianne outside and locked the door, he gazed around just in case anyone was watching and lead her into another side alley. There he opened a sewer lid and hmhed.

"It`s time we disappear from the upperworld and base ourselves in the underworld"

He said with a quirk smile as he dropped down into the sewers.

Mai opened her mouth to speak a couple of times but words failed her; eventually she shook her head slightly, "You don't need to apologise, as long as I've known Tai he's always been there one minute and gone the next. He's there if and when you need him though, and he is perfectly capable of looking after himself. That much I know. As for where he went, I really have no idea. He'll be safe though, or as safe as he'll let himself be." She added with a small smirk. Giving his hand an encouraging squeeze, she started heading back towards the car. After a few moments of silence she said, "How come using your powers back then drained you so much? Is it a very difficult thing to do?"

"Well... I suppose so. The room was rather stuffy so it takes a bit of effort to start it off... and I was quite tired - which made things worse. Shame it was a bit of a waste - but I suppose it did save us a few crucial seconds," Raye stated and then added with a comforting smirk, "Next time, I think I'll avoid freezing the whole room."

They came upon a more populated area of the city and the car park could be seen in the distance, though only a few cars seemed to remain as the rest must of departed because of the depressing weather and how late it was now. Raye stepped into the car park with Mai and reached for his keys, unlocking the car and opened the door to the front passenger seat for Mai, "Just trying to make up for you saving my life and all."

"I Hate sewage" moned Mari following him down, she'd been looking foreward to washing her hair properly and getting herslef a new set of cloths, her torn jeans and baggy T-shirt were not her style but when you live rough, she sighed and followed him down. "There'd better be a shower at this place" she warned "What was that gun he used on you?" she asked a bit later.

Mai smiled slightly at how Raye had changed towards her. Before it was clear he found her irritating, which is why she'd stopped asking questions. But now he seemed much more tolerant, pleasant. She supposed after what had happened he was more appreciative.

She slipped into the car and relaxed back against the seat; the adrenaline rush was fading now, and she let herself breathe properly again. Raye got into the car also, starting up and engine for the off. Mai fixed her gaze on a point and concentrated fully on trying to make herself visible again. After a minute or so she felt the smallest of small differences, and flipped the mirror down in front of her. She slighed a breath of relief as her reflection looked back at her; she still didn't know what Tai had done, but it seemed to have done the trick.

Raye gave an encouraging nod to Mai as he reliased she was visible again and drove out of the car park and back to HYENA, "Were you and Tai... ehm.. a pair? You know...", he hesitated, keeping his eyes on the road, "I shouldn't ask but I just want to be sure that you don't think we need to search for Tai."

Raye came to a set of traffic lights on the red light and waited patiently for the amber, tapping his finger on the wheel. He suddenly noticed a piece of paper on the windscreen... a parking ticket? No - couldn't be, he could just make sight of Takeshi's signature. Remaining aware of the traffic lights, he leaned forward to read the note - it was warning about a mutant... Darius.
"Too late now, ain't it!", Raye bitterly sighed to himself and then swerved his eyes back on the road as the traffic lights changed into amber then green - pressing his foot against the pedal.

Mai shook her head, "No, we were just good friends. He helped me a lot and listened to my many rants very patiently. And then of course he helped me with my invisibility and...so far so good." She replied with a small sigh. "I don't know, I guess he was a bit of a brother figure, if you get what I mean." Mai added, looking at Raye for a sign of understanding.

Nick prowled around the streets in London, his eyes moving ceaselessly for the man Darius. He reached the bar after some time. He suspected the cops would still be looking for him and had to stay low. But he had just glanced two mutants leave the door. He assumed it was Darius and another ally of his. He watched as they go into the sewers and decided to follow them. He followed them down the sewers and crawled on the roof of the sewer.

Marsia didn't often say this but she could now say she was totally lost. She must have got the wrong turn somewhere. She sighed and decided to lean against a lamppost near a traffic light. She then sighted a car fly past and its passenger. It was Raye and Mai. She sighed again. Oh well, she thought. She could always wander around London some more.

Raye nodded, "Takeshi is a brotherly figure for me - along with being my best friend. But... I don't know, we've having these petty arguments and it feels that we're growing apart."

Raye passed a series of buildings along the side of the road - mostly small-business shops but what caught his eye was a diner, nothing too formal or fancy, "You want to stop here? You must be hungry - we've been out for a while and haven't eaten, shall I stop here and buy you something to eat? It's the least that I can do," he offered.

"I have no idea"

Darius retorted carelessly as he gazed into the opening sewers and began walking onwards, the sewers were a handy way of getting around unnoticed and it was also a hiding place to the most hideous of mutants. They went trough a labyrinth and Darius seemed to know the way all tough he didn`t have a map of any kind. They traveled around the sewers until they reached a large metal door that had many locks on it. Darius began opening them with many keys, he also opened a combination lock and all of it seemed ridiculous.

Yet then again every lock had been bashed and beaten, apparently by more unfriendly and savage mutants that had been created in the latest years. Darius opened the door to a simple room with a table in the center, some beds in the corners and a few doors leading to a kitchen, a bathroom and a two other rooms. The walls were scrappy and badly painted yet there seemed to be proper air conditioning, heath and other things required to live comfortably.

"Good enough?"

Darius asked with a smirk.

"I guess that happens with friends sometimes. Maybe give him some space or something; I don't know, I'm hardly an expert on friends." Mai replied with a scoff. At the mention of food however, she nodded hungrily, "That sounds like a good idea, I can't remember when I last ate properly." She looked out of the window, spying the diner he must have been refering too - it seemed like a becon of light through the rain and Mai realised just how hungry she was. Raye quickly pulled the car over in the adjacent car park, and the two of them hurried through the rain to the warmth of the diner.

She looked in at the bathroom "It has a shower, its good enough" she replied before dropping her bag and heading in. Ten minits later she emerged "You have no idia how much i'v missed conditioner" she laughed before sitting down on one of the chairs.

"Thanks for the advice," Raye replied and followed her to the humble diner - yawning slightly as he stepped inside and felt the comforting warmth welcome him.

He pointed to the far table on their right which was the closest to the window, surrounded by the suitable number of two seats. Raye gradually made his way to the table and sat down comfortably, passing Mai one of the menus as he took his own, "So - what do you want? They don't have the greatest selection, it seems."
