Mai looked down at the menu, anything was good right now, "I'll have... an omlette with fries please." She said, giving him a smile. It was a nice gesture, he didn't have to buy her dinner, they could get some at HYENA if they needed to. "Thanks for this." She added with another smile.

Darius slightly as he was concentrated on using his laptop, he opened a roster of people who he had thus far identified as mutants and every single detail that he knew about them. The HYENA were placed in their own directory as it was obvious they were one group that would make a difference. Darius turned the laptop towards Marianne with the roster of HYENA members shown with their face.

"How many of them have you met besides the two just now?"

He inquired.

"It's fine," Raye smiled back and then turned his head sharply as he heard footsteps behind him, it was the waitress.
"Watcha want, uh?", the waitress sighed with a rather cockney accent as she chewed her gum.
"Cod, please and a glass of water-"
"Wan' fries wit' dat?", she asked as she interrupted his order.
Raye nodded and carried on as the waitress scribbled this down on the notepad, "And omlette and fries for her."
"Ta - please come 'gain, like," she muttered as she repeated a phrase she must of said all day.
"Thanks."

The waitress rushed off with the order and Raye impatiently leaned on the table, his one elbow placed on the table and his fist supporting one side of his face.
"So," Raye started to say to Mai, thinking of beginning a convesation to pass the time, "What are you up to tomorrow?"

"She sounds familer, i think she might be the girl called Jackie i told you about. She was french any way and could manipulate air. She was a dancer, ballet from the way she held herself but knew Irish dance and others. She dosn't like the hurting of humans but i don't think she was HYENA."

Darius hmhed and opened the whole profile of this Jackie, he gazed at it quietly and wondered where her allegiances lied, probably with the HYENA. Darius cursed quietly. There seemed to be just too many of them and their damned resources. Darius had just retreated into his last base of operations from where he was hardest to find and was protected by other more mindless mutants.

Darius needed to call a gathering, a gathering that would unite a front against all of the humans and the HYENA as well.

"We need to train and call everyone together"

"Hmm, I don't know really. I don't tend to...plan." She replied with a short laugh. "But I have a couple of lessons. I was going to ask someone for help with my invisibility because I don't have much control over it. I mean, I did back there, but that must have been just luck. I've never had that much control - the situation must have taken over and my mind functioned as a result. And I was also going to ask someone about something else too, a power I think I may have even though I've only done it once...." She trailed off and blushed and then added, "Sorry, I'm rambling."

Raye grinned, "It's alright. What was that power... the one you just mentioned, which you've only done once?"

"Once, the orphanage that I lived in took us on a 'field trip' type thing, to this big park with all the usual kid stuff. And there was this lake which we'd been forbidden to go near unless we had staff with us. But there was too many wild children and not enough staff, so I slipped away unnoticed." Mai replied, and then stopped as the waitress put down their drinks, rather brusquely. "So I went playing around this lake on my own, and there was this stick in the water or something, and I wanted it for some childish reason. So I stepped closer to the water and without realising it, I was actually walking on the water. Thinking this was pretty neat, I went out farther, but then I lost it and plunged in to the murky water." She finished, taking a sip of her drink. "I haven't tried since."

The waitress came along with the tray of food, setting it infront of Raye and Mai but gave the two of them cautious glances. Without a word she strutted off, taking orders from another table.

"Do you think she heard us?", Raye inquisitvely asked - lowering his voice down, "And... that ability... well, it's awesome! We have some shallow lakes in the HYENA gardens - perhaps you'd like to attempt it again?"
Raye sipped some of his water and soon finished his small portion of chips - he was now taking small bites from his cod, savouring the taste.

Mai grinned, "Well, it would be awesome. I have no idea how to control it though, even if I did want to try. Likeliness is, I'd just fall in like anyone else would." She dug in to her omelette, sudden hunger gnawing at her insides. It was good and she finished quickly, clearing her plate. In the orphanage she'd always had to eat fast, otherwise some other kid would have stolen half of it. But luckily, Raye seemed equally hungry and ignorant of her fast eating.

Shortly after Mai had finished, Raye soon followed her. He took out his leather wallet and placed the right amount money into the centre dish on the table.

"Time to go now," Raye sighed wearily, "They must be wondering where we are by now."

"Yea, they must." Mai replied, glancing at her watch. It was almost 8:30pm and they'd left early afternoon. They left the diner and got back in the car; Mai plugged herself in and folded her arms around her as the cool night seemed colder after the warmth of the diner. The rain was a thin mizzle now, a curtain of grey over the bleak London landscape. "D'you suppose they'll want a recount of what happened?" She asked once they were back on the road, heading towards the mansion.

Nick quietly followed them into their room, the darkness hiding him. He slipped in just as Darius closed the door. The weak lighting of the room had enough light to see an outline of Nick but not completely. He crawled down from the ceiling and onto the floor before greeting, "Good day, Darius."

Mari looked up in shock and saw the faint outline of a man. "He'd better be part of the everyone you mentioned Darius" she snarled a solid chair hovering next to the shadows aproximate head.
