Well, I suppose our outfits don't matter as much, seeing as this ball won't be as elegant or formal as our normal ones, correct? I was anticipating a Bilbo's birthday kind of feeling. Fireworks, dancing, eating, sitting in the grass, etc.
The decorations, however are important I think.
And as for the dates...well...hopefully the gentlemen are able to find ladies without the list of those looking for an escort.  _________________

Personally, I don't have to worry about that since my er.. date and I already decided we'd be "going together". 
However, we're changing our names and "looks" as well, and I haven't give either of those things one thought!

Well I be agreeing with you there. I know this isn't our winter ball, but if I remember rightly, last year at the ball which was hosted on Frodo's birthday, threads were made before the party dates, so people knew it was coming and what was going to happen.
The Mods have a fantastic line up of things happening over the forum during the summer, we have all seen that from the lists calling for helpers, but I am left wishing that the threads had already been started. I wish Tin was here, as she did a fantastic job hosting the threads last Christmas, and really that's all the Mods need to do - start the threads and we'll familiarize ourselves with what is happening.

As I mentioned before, it can't hurt if we started them ourselves. Or if we mentioned to one of the mods [Ivy maybe?] that we'd like to start some threads. However, it does seem a bit late to do that now. Maybe for the next one then?

Erm...yeah, it's getting pretty close. We should probably put up at least one planning thread in Miscellaneous Randomness!! Are the Mods planning for the ball to start? I really haven't heard much...

Way to go Larael for taking the initiative. I think it will at least help make it feel like there is a ball taking place in a couple of days...even if the thread[s] are up for that short of a time. _________________

Umm.. I'm not sure.. but I know the day 13/7/07 doesnt exsist.. theres only 12 months in a year..
But don't listen to me.. .. I have no idea.
Sorry.. umm.. just commenting...
Anyway.. Yeah the ball is in 2 days right? I wasn't here for the hobbit ball or whatever during the winter, but I feel like there should be some threads up.. not just the planning one.

I know that the date is July 13, 2007. Some countries put it like day/month/year instead of month/day/year.
