I think you just need a bit of a push in either direction Admiral. Just give it some time.
Ooh, Mornie, I really like what you said about love "seeing all the flaws". [Die hard romantic right here. ] Everyone has flaws, but when you love someone so much that you can accept those flaws and differences... wow. It makes the saying 'love is blind' true.

Yes, unfortunately, neither of us really want to do any pushing right now, due to the fact that neither of us have gone through anything like this before. That's why I'm glad Scott is helping us out.

Aye, it's a difficult and confusing situation to be in. Thankfully you've got Scott there to help work things out. Only time can tell as I said before. Good luck!

I just finishd talking with Scott. I called him to ask him if Joel had told him anything, and it just so turns out that Joel was at his house when I called. So, after regaining my composure, I told him I'd call back later. If I don't die from all the stress first

Oh, how fortunate of you, Mornie.
I haven't gotten enough experience unless you count overliking a girl. I have a horrible habit of doing that. But anyways, due to lack of experience, I'm the tin dog in relationships.

Awww.. *does a hopeless romantic sigh* That's wonderful Mornie and soo romantic..
Lack of experience doesn't trouble me as much as finding the courage to actually talk to someone I like. I'm awful at going up to people and starting conversations. I get all giggly especially if I like that person. Ugh. I look like a complete daftie sometimes.

Believe me, I couldn't be more glad to have someone like Scott, not just because of all the help he's been lately, but because it's really cool that I can be so close to a guy as a friend, and that when something like this comes up, it doesn't get in the way of our friendship.
Larael, I understand what your talking about. I find it so hard to start coversations with people that interest me, that I hardly ever do at all. For some reason, I really hate having people know my feelings.

Oo, I'm the same way! When people know my feelings about someone or something it makes me feel so vulnerable. I'd rather keep it to myself unless the other person feels the same way. Saves a lot of heartache most of the time.

Don't worry. I always look like that. I swear, I look like an idiot all the time. Which is really humorous because I'm actually really smart.

In never ever talk to people I crush on. In fact, I think I avoid them the most. I'm just so deathly afraid of what they'll think of me.
But in my opinion, when you meet the right guy/girl, you pursue them, and try to spend more time with them, and then you'd grow less self-conscious...if you care about them enough, you'd look past trying to make yourself look cool. Does that make sense?
Or...sort of what I hope will happen...I won't be too keen on the guy, but then he'll be cool enough to pursue me. If that wouldn't make me feel beautiful, I don't know what will.

Ah, yes. Being pursued has to be the best feeling one could possibly get when playing the dating game. It's fun to chase a little, but being chased is all the better.

Awww *another hopeless romantic sigh* I hope that happens to me as well Gwen. It's just so bloody romantic when the guy goes after the girl with a dreamy romantic look on his face rather than the look that makes you think he's eyeing a piece of meat. I can't wait to find a guy like that!

awww with a personality like that i think it wont be long untill that happens....it is rather hard to find a guy with respect towards innocence and will be romantic, but i've found that whenever i talk to a guy like that they say its just as hard to find innocent and self-respecting girls that wont go after just any guy that looks hot. Again i say, patience is key.
Oh, and yeah.. who doesn't love a romantic pursue

*dreams up romantic scenarios of meeting the "perfect" guy*
Squee! The thing I definitely want from my man is respect. If I don't want him to do something I'm not comfortable with just yet I want him to be able to repect that. But I want to be able to take his wants and needs into consideration too.
Seems to me that I'm being a bit demanding..

^That's not all bad, though, Larael. It's good to set standards and follow them through. Don't settle for anything less than that man. [As long as your standards are realistic and you realize he isn't going to be perfect, of course ]
The guys are probably going to roll their eyes at this one, but whenever I dream about this kind of stuff, I always write letters to that guy I'm going to meet later in my life. I don't know why I think it's stupid, I guess I just think of it as childish. And in a way, it is. But I think it'll be sweet to give them to him on our wedding day or something. I have about 3 of them now, stored away in one of my old journals. *sigh*
