Several feet behind her a flash of light came and went. There was standing a figure in robes of sackloth, with his hood up and hands hidden.

Fantaisia felt the hair on the back of her neck prickle and she stiffened ever so slightly. She carefully opened her eyes... nothing in front of her... definately something behind her... Her hands tingled from the power that had been realised from the stone. She waited unsure.

Michael continued to circle the group, and he noticed the girl separate herself from the group again. A sudden flash of light caught his attention. Vanya we have problems... look! He said pointing toward the ground.

Vanya's eyes widened in horror as she stared at the figure. No! she exclaimed. We are too late. she muttered. We must now protect the children at all costs, for I know not when Adrammelech will turn on them.

He does not have the spell to completely release him, he only has the power to incarnate himself... Now we must get the girl and the stone and separate them. She is by herself now... we must hurry if we are to take her." Michael said as he carefully watched the girl.

Then let us move now. Vanya replied. I just hope we are not to late, she added as she prepared to descend.

Michael couldn't stand it anymore. He dove directly for the girl, causing her to throw her hands up. When she did he snatched the stone. She's all yourse Vanya... get her out of there while you can!!! Michael slipped the stone into a pouch at his belt.

Fantaisia screamed as as a large figure swooped down on her and snatched the stone "NO!!!" She cried tears filling her eyes. She dropped to her kneese burrieing her face in her hands. "No no no ..."

Vanya quickly swooped down and landed by the weeping girl. With that she gently taking her in her arms and flew off with her to the King's castle. Setting the sobbing girl down she knelt beside her, her brown eyes gentle. "Do not be afraid." she whispered, her melodic voice warm and soothing as she tilted the girl's chin so that their eyes locked. "You are safe now, my child. This is the castle of King Aleron. Few have been privileged enough to travel here. No harm shall befall you-that I swear to you." she said gently, her warm eyes never leaving the girl's.

Michael landed a few feet from Vanya and Fantaisa. She turned to look at the new figure, then back at Vanya. "Can I have my rock back?" She asked not bothering to wipe away the tear streaks on her face. She cowered back away from the two very tall inhuman creatures with wings.

Vanya sighed as she rose and cast a quick glance at Michael, before looking back at the young girl before them. "Dear one-the stone you seek houses a dark magic that once threatened to destroy the world." She paused, not sure how much more she should say. "He will harm you if you release him." she said gently.

Fantaisa shook her jet black curls. "He said you'd say that! Give it back!" She held her hand out her blue eyes flashing in a cross between anger and fear.

Vanya slowly shook her head, her eyes sad. "I am sorry, that is something we can not do." she replied. What have you done with stone? she asked Michael, sending her question to him so that only he could hear her words.

Fantaisa watched as the two winged creatures looked at eachother. She stepped back again as the male creature stepped towards her, then realised she was on the edge of a very high up landing court. She lost her balance and screamed as she started to fall.

Vanya quickly reacted, catching the girl as she began to fall. "Don't worry. I have you I won't let you fall." she whispered. With the Fantaisa still in her arms she nodded at Michael. You're right. With that she flew into the palace, holding the girl close.

Fantaisia clung to the creature that held her. She closed her eyes, holding her breath until she saw stars. She took another breath and allowed the dark of uncontiousness to roll over her.

A great rage manifested in Adrammelech's form. He appeared among the angels completely surrounded by darkening clouds, the only thing visible being a pair of beady red eyes. He said, "Release me, you foul traitors! You will not stop me from creating a perfect world."

Michael frowned in disproval. "You are the traitor Adrammelech, you tried to destroy all who lived on this world and you are not welcome here. You are not going to harm this girl, nor are you going to be released."

Fantaisia started to awaken. "Mmm... Angel..." She whispered.
