Taurquende, Yeah...I am pretty sure that everyone here can guess why I am asking. lol
I agree. Having your face on a sponge as you said for example, or a razor or something would just be ultra creepy. A tooth brush might be allright in my opinion though. I am slightly insane like that though. lol
Yeah my mum is very suportive of it (though sjhe got pretty mad when Dead Man's chest did not end) and though it can creep my ada out sometimes he is usaly allright with it too. I am sorry to hear that your parents aren't.
bow_and_arrow, That is a bit odd. Ah well the less Pirates of the cAribbean fans where you live the less competition to get the latest stuff. It can get pretty crazy when you have to wait for hours to get whatever the latest Pirates of the caribbean merchandise it is. lol
Banana Republic, Oh Ebay. I do not have never bought anything from there before but I have looked around before and they do have some totally wicked stuff! They are suposed to release a Beckett action figure?! Oh that is so cool. That will have to go on the wish list too. Thanks for letting us know about it!

Ánië Súrion, yup, I've seen the PotC Life's at all our local Wal-Marts, Meijers, Targets… almost anywhere… I think I got mine at our Meijer though… but they are so fun to play! A 1,000 times better than normal Life! you've found PotC stuff at Big Lots? Cool! I haven't checked that store yet...
Drew's Destiny, Well, I'm happy to hear Johnny put his foot down somewhere…. You guys are right, having your face on those type of things would just be too weird.
I'm always happy to help! If there's someone to listen I'll gladly talk about PotC stuff. No problem at all.
That's funny. I never got Liar's Dice either! My brother gets it and he sorta explained it to me but I still don't really get it.
Yes, I own the DMC Life and the trilogy Monopoly (that's actually the newest addition to my PotC collection). In the Pirate Life you start out and each pick a character from the movie to be your captain. In mine you can pick Jack, Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth, Pintel, Norrie, Tia Delma, or Bootstrap and I think that's it. You go around the board and as you go you acquire a ship (sorta like buying a house) and then you can raid the other player's ships to earn more money. So you want to get a big ship (which costs more)… it's quite a bit different from normal Life and I'm not too good at explaining rules but the main objective is whoever has the most money at the end wins… and, no, you don't get married in this one.
Taurquende, I think my parents figure if I'm the one spending my own money, it's my money to waste so it's my problem… and that's ok with me… I'm sorry to hear your parents don't let you buy the stuff though..
bow_and_arrow, people around you aren't very big Pirate fans? Wow, I feel so bad for you... although like Drew pointed out that can be a good thing too.
Banana_Republic, I know! I can't wait for Beckett to come out either! *high fives*

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't understand Liar's dice! I don't feel they explained it very well... I think I might know the rules, but I can never be sure.
The Pirate's Life (for me ) sounds pretty cool! Such a shame they don't let you marry and have kids! They'd probably sell a lot more if they did!
My parents don't exactly forbid me, they more discourage it. But I think that if I started madly collecting, they'd stop me while I was still halfway sane.

Do you know when his figure is supposed to come out? I think it's within the next few months but I'm not 100% sure.

Gee, he's in wave 3 I know… and originally they were going to release wave 3 at the end of August but wave 2 hasn't even been released yet (they post-poned it to July)... so I'm not 100% positive what they're doing. But I still think he's scheduled for August along with the rest of wave 3.

PD, Me too is all that I can say. I can even begin to imagine Johnny or any other actor/actresses having their faces on such things. lol
Oh nonsense you are very good at explaining rules. I think that I understand them quite well actualy and it sounds like a great game! However I must agree with Taurquende that it is a shame that you can not be wed in that game...lol ... . Thanks for answering my questions and explaining the rules to me!
PD and Taurquende, I too am very glad to hear that I am not the only one who does not understand the rules of Liar's dice. There for awhile I was a bit worried that maybe I just did not posess the common sense seemingly needed to understand the game. I mean in Dead Man's chest they acted like it was such a simple thing to pick up on. However since it is not just me, my husband just must be one of the smartest people on earth.
Oh and by the way Taurquende, I love your new bottom banner.

Sweet, thanks . Just out of curiosity where did you get your info. I've been looking for anything on the pirates action figures and can find nothing except for the ones that are already out.

Really? I've seen POTC Monopoly at the Walmart near me but nothing else. I love that game though... *wanders off to check online stores*
Yeah, one near me has/had DMC action figures for $5. Good luck!

^ I saw it the other day at a bookstore. They've got all their Pirate and HP stuff out on display. They're calling "Pirate's Dice" instead of "Liar's Dice," though.
A Beckett figure, that's so great! It should come with his tea set.

Thanks very much! I'm doing a claim now, if you'd like one.:teehee:

Really? I was just at the bookstore near me that's gung-ho for Pirates, but all they had was "Pirate's Dice" (which annoys me to no end, the changed name I mean ) and some books and stuff. Oh, and also models of the Flying Dutchman, which looked cool but were something like $25 each.

Banana_Republic, boy… ummm… I'm sorry I don't have a answer for you. My brother got all the info off some action figure/toy site… but I can't remember the address. I'll have to ask him....
Ánië Súrion, really? I've found the Pirate Life game at all our local stores… it's the monopoly I had to go to BarnsandNoble for… hmmm… try Amazon... I think they have it there
Sweet! I'll definitely have to check Big Lots out…
Drew, well, thank you! It's actually not that bad that you can't marry in the game because instead you get to play as the characters… I don't really mind it, at least… and I think guys like it better too and you're welcome… I'm happy the rules made sense to all of you guys.
No, you're not the only one who was confused over the Liar's Dice rules… I watch that scene over and over and each time I'm still left scratching my head. Guess you're right Will's just one smart guy to catch onto in to quick.
yeah, I noticed they call it Pirate's Dice too… I wonder why they couldn't get the name right?

LOL thankies. i had it made for me.
the liar's dice game rules are kinda tricky. but hte rules are a little different from how they play in the movie. you have to guess the amount of a certain number of a number on the die. it's really confusing and i am not good at explaining things. but it's really fun to play. i win alot LOL. jk.

^Do you get to say "Liar" if the person's guess is wrong?

^ More importantly, do you gamble.
DD and PD, I think I figured out why we don't get Liar's Dice. Because we're so smart we keep over thinking it! I'm pretty sure that all you have to do is guess how many dice in total have landed on a number based on your dice. And then after everyone else has guessed, you have more of an idea about what the dice landed on. So it's a bit like the card game BS or Cheat, if you've ever played that. But then you have to make sure you don't give away too much about your dice, and that's when it gets way too complicated for me.

Oh, sorry, I didn't realize you were talking about LIFE. I didn't look very closely, but I actually don't think they had that. Good thing, because I probably would have been moved to buy it if they did. LIFE is fun, although we don't own it so I can never play it. It would have been nice to buy it, a "better use of money" than when I bought another set of Monopoly just because it was LotR.
Yeah, I don't get why they changed the name to Liar's Dice either. Although, on the blue-ray disc they're advertising an interactive game of Liar's Dice with the crew members.
Taniquetil, it's so cool that your future aunt knows a member of the CotBP cast! Maybe she can introduce you two and you can get him to introduce you to Johnny Depp.
