Cyril sitened, waiting to hear more from the stranger and all he knew of the shadows.
He rested his hand calmly onhis sword blade.

“I know only little,” the elf admitted, a glimpse of fair elven features just barely visible beneath the shadow of the hood, though a glint of the eyes was more clearly seen, subject more so to the moonlight glow than any other feature.
“The knowledge I have of its source is limited, for I hear from rumors and vague transcriptions and only little experience of my own. I may determine only that a wizard is involved, of what sort, I know not, yet it has been my desire to discover more, though the only method of resource is to enter the shadow itself.”
(My evil character is coming soon!)

Cyril listened intently, though his features showed little intrest. His mind wandered to several possibilities of what this shadow might be.
"Then I am to understand you will be traveling with us into the mist?" Cyril asked the elf.

Cor chuckled low and responded with a nod. “Indeed I shall, though to travel in numbers may prove unwise…. We shall see what takes place, however.” With a deliberate and unhesitant stride, the elf headed towards the camp where the fire was lit.
--------
And my Dark Side character:
Name: Ahar
Translation: Sly-Wisdom
Gender: Male
Age: Unkown
Occupation/title: Wizard / Ahar the Adventurous
Hair: Long, grey hair and a scraggly beard of the same color.
Eyes: A dark, deep cobalt blue.
Height: Rather tall at 6’ 4” though he is hunched over more often than not, making him seem only 6’.
Other Appearance: Wizened features, perhaps a bit cruel in expression, his overall appearance giving the impression of him being rather ancient
Clothing: Long gray robes with a black sword belt, the clasp a strange twisted design with the symbol of a rune standing for the letter I.
Belongings: A dull-grey bladed broadsword with barbed edges on the last foot of its length. A staff, as all wizards should have, the design being a black, twisted wood, the end caging a grey, misty orb.
Expertise: Wizardry, of course!
Personality: Quick to judge and not one to care much about unnecessary damages or the pain of others.
History: Ahar was banished by his comrades for his many attempts in solving solutions with hideous acts, burning villages to “smoke out” a villain or spreading disease a few times which would not only wipe out the intent of his target, but the innocent as well. After his banishment, Ahar retreated into the dark North, discovering a skill he had not know he had; communicating with the spirit of a wizard by the name of Ilbrar the Dead, which meant Mist-Crafter. This wizard, through Ahar, guided a strange fog filled with the fearsome dead, with the ability to devastate not only lives, but cause crops, creatures, and entire forests to die.
Ahar at first toyed with his connection with the wizard spirit, but the spirit of Ilbrar slowly began to possess Ahar, giving the wizard an overly aged appearance. Not only was his appearance changed, but his intent as well. Ilbrar’s spirit changed Ahar into a deadly force so that the shadow could come alive, for without a live subject, the deadly fog could go no where. Now that Ahar the Adventurous had entered into this bond, he could not escape, and indeed it was no longer he who possessed the powers of his mind, but Ilbrar the Dead, and the destruction of land and life began…

(Alright lets keep this moving along here)
Cyril walked over to the fire and laid down. He would be able to sleep now that he knew what was out there and that is was no threat.
Laing down on the bare ground he closed his eyes. He had no pillow or blanket of any sort but felt at home on the cool ground.

Ruth Ann followed behind everyone to the fire and sat next to the flame. She was becoming ever more fully annoyed with Cyril's ignorance of the situation. It was true that it didn't turn out to be an evil person as she expect. But, what would have happened if it was? she thought and glared over at Cyril who had just decided to lay down and go to sleep, then I would get to prove myself to the doubting big folk.

Cor sat with knees bent and legs crossed one over the other beside the fire, gaze passing over each in turn, perhaps to observe each expression and manner. The elf leaned forward slightly, resting elbows against knees.
"I have listened for some time, yet I do not always catch names at first. What might your name be, halfling?" Cor asked in genuine curiosity.
----------
Meanwhile a silent, strangely still fog rested beyond the hill upon which the group camped, their presence concealed from sight by the trees, though someone felt their presence...
Ahar rubbed his bone-thin, ashen hands together, mumbling to himself, perhaps even chuckling in a dark manner. "Foolish, foolish simple folk... They shall know fear."

"Ruth Ann.. Underhill," Ruth Ann warmly introduced herself. She liked this elf a whole lot better than she was liking the leader of the group at this moment in time, "I was a friend of Aragorn."

((thanks mate! ))
Turwaithiel decided to take first watch. She could tell Cyril was tired and so she let him sleep. She patted Ruth Ann on the back comfortingly and gave her a "talk-later" look before going on the other side of the fire to take watch.

Rain glanced around one more time, glancing at all the members of the group, eyes lingering on the newest edition before she too lay down next to the fire to sleep.
"I'll take second watch," she called to Turwaithiel before falling asleep...

Turwaithiel nodded, smiling. "'Kay, mate." She said. "I will wake you." She added. She planned to awake her at around 4 in the morning, if at anytime at all. Turwaithiel was one of those Elves who found sleep hard to come by, for she wasn't easily tired, but when she did slept, her dreams were filled with hauntings of the past. So she usually avoided sleeping, if she could, though she did sleep, occanionly.

Cyril soon drifted off to sleep, rebuking many of the dreams that came floating in. He had learned to do that...
Soon the morning would come to break him from his rest.

"Underhill..." Cor seemed to smirk slightly, though it was difficult to see beneath the shadow of the dark hood. "It seems I have heard such a name mentioned once before, by a hobbit who also befriended the Lord Aragorn, though the name indeed was false. Both are greatly mourned and in the thoughts of all."
Through out the night, the elf silently sat beside the fire, refining the fletching of several arrows with deft, skillful hands. Cor neither slept nor rested in those dark hours, though a glance constantly rested on each in turn.

(I hope this is alright, Jax. If you wish to change or add anything, please tell me! It is your RP after all )
The morning, however, would not fully come, as a dense and darkening fog seeped through the trees, obscuring the first twilight. It made the air thick and heavy to breath as well as deathly chilling to the skin.
