I like that idea, JF. We can do this whole shabang now and then in September have the birthday party as a little extra. And then Christmas!

So, we're going to stick the dates we came up with earlier? And throw a smaller party on Bilbo's & Frodo's birthday?
Ya know, I think that's what Ivy was suggesting in the first place a couple posts back.

A smaller birthday party sounds fine to me.
If we're going to hold this the 27th, perhaps we should go ahead and start planning in this thread, as Ivey's gone 'til the 25th.
Also, what are we going to do regarding sigs/names? A thing like the hobbit ball names wouldn't really work, as most of us have elvish names anyway.

^I think the names couid still work out. I already have one planned...
And I think the banners and stuff with our real names in our sigs would work great. I had fun seeing who people were. *Goatcloset* Lol...

Yup, names and siggies should be changed something Elvish-y, just like last time.
EDIT: Hmph. Mum is dragging us off to visit her aunt and uncle on the 27th and 28th. I'll be there on the 29th through the 31st though..

Agreed. The day is fast approaching and I do not think we have done much on planning wise. Shouldn't we start off the thread listing of who's going with whom and who is wearing what.

I agree very much. The last ball was sort of crazy in how it was all made at the last second! Should we put up one single planning thread?
Also, on that note, we should probably decide what threads to put up for the ball. This ball is going to be in Lothlorien, correct?
Food--?
Chatting--?
Dancing--?
Main Entrance, Greetings, etc.--?
Serious Chatting--?
Some ideas: The Banks of Anduin? The treetops? (that sounds sort of weird ) The woods of (drat, what are they called, where Haldir first takes the Fellowship?) The Mirror of Galadriel?
Just throwing things around.

In Lothlorien?! That'd be fun. It's what most know anyway. Would this be up in the homes in the trees?

Ooh, I think up in the treetops would be a great location.

Lothlórien treetops sound good.. I like RPing in my home
Just don't bring any children. They'll fall off high branches and kill themselves.

Just stay out of my tree. XD
Oh geez, must you put that thought in my head already. XP I am going to have to very closely watch my kid when he's old enough to run around and get into everything lol.

*creeps into your tree*
Yeah... yeah you really should. Keep him away from the branches
Craig and I... we used to live in lovely Mallorn #8. Miluiel (Miluiel, old mod from E-R) persuaded us to move into the apartment next to her and Legolas, and when we had children, one fell outta the window and I had to save her
I told you that already though... but we're going to move back to our empty tree.

Yeah but it will not make us move. Lessons have to be learned at some point lol. Little boys need to be watched more anyway for they are more trouble then little girls.

Make me
Yeah... don't move. Since you only have one. Some little girls are a lot of trouble though; I remember when my sister was a child (she's older than me too, mind you).......
Craig and I had a bajillion... keeping those urchins in a tree for a day would narrow them down to only one child. But yay, they're now all grown up and have officially disowned their parents, and now we're alone again *huge smile*
