Latin is a dead language,
As dead as can be.
First it killed the Romans,
and now it's killing me.
I had to take three years of Latin, wanted to get on to another language, so I loathed every minute of it.

My sister had a t-shirt that says "If you can read this, you are overeducated" in Latin.
I like Spanish, but mainly because I have been taking it for years, and I can somewhat understand it.

Does that mean I'm overeducated, as I saw someone wearing a similar T-shirt and understood it?
As for languages, I can speak, read and write English fluently, French very nearly fluently, Spanish nearly fluently again, Latin very well, Italian a bit, and over the summer holidays because I have nothing better to do I'm going to learn another language but I don't know which yet, either Urdu, Japanese or Mandarin Chinese.

wow lol
I can tell you Mandarin Chinese is harder than Japanese (if you understand Traditional Chinese you understand about 1/2 of written Japanese) i dunno about Urdu.
But if you're gonna learn Mandarin Chinese, you better pronounce it right, or Chinese ppl will either hate you or mock you for it.
well, i will anyway

I speak Canto. And I get mocked for pronouncing it funnily, because English is my first language. Like, I went to the supermarket with my family and I was conversing with my grandmother. The lady at the counter was peering at me curiously and was like "she speaks with difficulty."

Not everyone will... usually if someone can speak Chinese... but they aren't of an Asian descent, Chinese people will actually be impressed and praise you for it. The Chinese people in Canada would anyway.

Learning languages can be pretty easy, depending of course on the language. (Like Latin, those declensions...*shiver*)

I've never learned Latin before... I'd really love to though
The only language that I seriously sat down and learned was French... not simply as a high-school course, but from when I was in kindergarten until now. The tenses are still so confusing...
