Crukas nodded at Ulric and then he followed Asho, following closely behind and then he came up behind Asho, his shirt now stained with blood. Crukas kept his sword out. He didn't want to go defensiveless. He heard Asho's question and he answered, a gleam in his eyes, "Why, we do what we always do, Asho! We wing in and hope for the best! Now, let's get to that barn!"

Crukas saw the others emerge and listened to Ulric's plans to split up. Crukas volunteered himself and Asho to go the longer way around towards the farm, since Carina wasn't looking so hot at the moment. He hit Asho's shoulder lightly and said, "Come on, mate, we're off!"

"Alright Cru, let us go," Asho nodded to Crukas's comment and then signaled the others that they were off.

"So, we are running the long way?" Asho asked Crukas, while running down the supposed pathway, "Well, I can tell you that I hope you remember most of it because I don't."

Crukas nodded and followed Asho down the path, and turning down a dark alleyway, and pausing, glancing around the corner as he nodded to Asho's comment about going the long way around. "We needed to split, and Carina was in no condition to go farther than she needed to." He explained to his friend, spotting two gaurds near the gate to there way to freedom...okay, maybe not freedom, but to the barn at least.

"Um...yeah, I kinda remember it, but right now, we have two gaurds in our way. We get past them..." He said, now looking at Asho. "We're home free."

Asho crouched down in the shadows to look at the guards blocking their pathway. "We could wait for a bathroom break, and then we would be able to sneak right though, but I am not patient enough for that as can be proved by past experience."

Asho paused for a minute of thought to come up with a diabolical plan to get through the guards. "Ok," he said at last, "there are two of them and two of us. They have two swords, and we have three. What in the world are we worrying about?"

"Um...reinforcements?" Crukas said, raising his eyebrow. "And yeah, the bathroom break isn't a great idea...I mean, it is, but I'm not that patient..at least, not at this moment." Then, Crukas decided to shut up because he was simply rambling and getting nowhere.

[Gee; you guys do go in for lots of slow, then high-speed posting doncha?]

Arash found himself being steadily backed into a corner. The soldiers, not allowed to venture into the cellar with their captain, were stringing out the entertainment all they could. After all, it was obvious that Arash didn't have a chance of defeating one of them, let alone seven, something that was becoming more obvious to Arash himself.

In an effort to keep all the soldiers in front of him, he had backed up into a corner of the room. He felt cold stone on his shoulder blades, and fear struck at his heart. He looked up, hoping to find a ladder leading to a miracle, but saw a lantarn instead, kept in the corner of the room to provide a shady glow...

Sticking the other dagger in his belt, he reached up and grabbed it, waving it at the soldier's threateningly.

"What, you gonna burn us all to death with a lantarn?" Sneered one of the soldiers.

"Oh no, I don't need to..." Replied Arash, stepping forward, and throwing the lantarn past the soldier's with an overarm swing. It flew past them, impacting behind the bar in the bottles of wine, crushing the glass with its impact, and creating a small explosion as the alcohol ignited, setting fire all around it.
The soldiers gaped, as they saw the whole back end of the bar start to burn as more and more bottles were set alight, giong off like fire-crackers as the heat from the flames cracked the brittle glass.

Arash saw his opening, and threw the stool he carried overarm at the nearest soldier. It hit him in the chest, and he went down like a stone, winded. Arash was already running at him though, vaulting over his prone form, rolling under a table, and over a chair, before he reached the back door. Tugging it open, he glanced behind him, seeing one of the soldiers waving his arms, and garbling orders, and seeing three soldiers turn, and run after him, leaving the other four to somehow try and contain the fire so that it didn't burn the city down.

Arash dived out of the door, his heartstrings jolting as he jumped over the prone body of Aleena, lying in the gutter like a common courtesan.
Tears streaking his face, he also ran past his cart and Jeovah, the carthorse still happily chewing something while tied into the cart. The cart wasn't fast enough - he'd come back for it later.

So putting his head down, Arash ran for his life, the soldier's pounding after him, yelling curses as they went, wondering where on earth he could go.

<:hmm: I may have gotten carried away a little... but it isn't a real RP if at least one pub doesn't get set on fire, right? I've known a RP where four seperate ones got set alight before...>

Asho sat down against the wall and tilted his head. "You know, Cru," he thought aloud, "I wonder if they even know we are being chased after. Maybe we could just... fire! Woa!"

Jumping to his feet, Asho turned around to the see the pub flaming. "Ok.. better idea. Let's get them to go to help put out the fire."

Crukas looked back and grinned. "I like the idea. Okay, I will go and pretend like I'm freaking and tell them about the fire and you stay here...they might feel less threatened or not as bad to leave there post if only one man comes up." Crukas said and without awaiting Asho's answer, ran up to the gaurds, yelling,

"Gaurds! Gaurds! There's a fire, a fire....the pub is on fire! Please, you must help! There are soldier's in there, trapped! The pub is ON FIRE!" He said, running up to the gaurds.

"Ok..." Asho sat back down and wiggled himself into place, "A plan where my idea works, but I don't have to do anything. I am loving it already." He crossed his arms and leaned back against the wall as he watched his incredibly simple plan go into action.

"We have seen the fire," one of the guards mentioned to Crukas with eyes glared right on through him, "You say that there are soldiers trapped in there. How would you know that?"

Crukas mind was quick, though, lucky for him, for he had been a thief for half his life, so he knew how to lie. He pointed to his arm, which was now covered in blood and you couldn't tell how...it also had a little black on it, which could be mistaken for ash or soot. "Do ye not see this!! I tried to help one of 'he soldiers, but he told me to go 'nd find 'elp! I was injured during my escape out of 'here!" Crukas said, his plain folk accent coming into play.

"You don't say," the guard raised an eyebrow at Crukas, "Alright, I will go and check out the situation, even though there probably are at least 10 guards over there already." The guard walked off, but the second stayed, who took the liberty to stare down at Crukas in anticipation to why he hadn't left yet.

Kamal hurried after the others only a moment or two before the pub caught fire, the flames spreading quickly. He ran into the darkness, having lost track of Ulric. His first thoughts being only to get away, he kept running down a side street and ducked into a doorway.

Catching his breath, he peered back out into the streets. The light from the fire was visible, and shouts could easily be heard from where he was standing.

"Are ye not going too?" Crukas asked the gaurd as he watched the other one leave.
