Yeah, bad thing that is :S But I remember the first time I read it, I got this huge knot in my stomach when you got to know what that curse did >.<
Have you read book 7 yet? Can't wait to see that on the screen !

OMG Yes I read the 7th book in like 8 hours..i was trying to go slow enough to catch everything...But I can't wait til it comes out on film...that movie I think will be the longest..just soooo much happens..

I know what you mean about that curse..I knew it would be something really horrible but when Harry used it on Draco I literally screamed out loud..I was horrified..

We're getting off-topic guys. discuss the OotP movie not the HBP BOOK.

My favorite scene has got to be a tie between the ending posession and the DA practicing their patronuses and when Neville tells Harry about his parents.

My least favorite---I don't think I have one....

^^I did really like that part about Neville telling Harry about his parents...I thought that was a very good way to put it in there without the St. Mungos scene....

So many great scenes in that movie!

I loved it when the Order and Harry fly around London, all scenes with Luna, when the Order arrives to fight with the Death Eathers, the fight between Dumbledore and Voldemort...

Scenes I disliked? I guess I disliked the fact that there wasn't more Remus or Tonks, but it's because I'm a fangirl :)

^^well I don't know if it's really you totally being a fangirl...I'm not a fangirl at all, especially for tonks and Lupin, but I really would have liked to see them more...especially Tonks...

Okay, I Finaly got to go and watch Order of the Phoenix. Wow... :swoon: I loved it! In fact I think that it may be my very favorite Harry Potter film yet (...even though there was not enough Draco :annoyed2:). I really feel like all of the actors and actresses really stepped it up this time. I was especialy impressed with Daniel's performance in this film. I do not mean any offence to his fans. However I have always considered him to be the weakest link out of the entire cast. This time though...much better. Still not perfect (The scene at the first when Fred and George told him to stop yelling...he did not seem to be yelling to me. He just seemed a bit void of emotion there. Then the only other scene of his that really bothered me, was the one where Lupin was holindg him back and he was throwing a fit. I just would have liked to have seen a few more tears mixed in with his screaming.)... but still Much better.
The casting of the new characters was perfect! Evanna (spelling?) did an amazing job of playing Luna. She looked like her and even sounded like what I have always thought Luna should sound like. There was not even one scene where I felt like she could have done even a tad bit better. Helena was the perfect actress for Bellatrix. You could just look at her and tell that she was bad to the core. Her evil laugh was spot on and she had the perfect high spirited personality while playing Bellatrix. She may even be my favorite actress out of the entire series. Umbridge's actress was also perfect for her role. When she first said "ahem" I knew that she had been correctly cast. She was perfectly annoying from that scene on. Kudos to her actress! Natalia (spelling?) also did a wondeful job of playing Tonks, judging by the few scenes that she was on. It truly was a shame that she had such a small amount of screen time.
Another thing was that the special effects were truly amazing. The scene in the Department of mysteries when the prophecies came crashing down was Amazing. The storm effects were also wondefuly done.
Uh, I think that my fvorite part though might have been when Umbridge interviewed Snape. It went something like this...Umbridge: "It says here that you first applied for the dark arts, position, is that true?" Snape: "Yes" Umbridge:"And you did not succeed?" Snape"Obviously" (Ron lauyghs and Snape whacks him on the back of the head with a paper)  I nearly fell out of my chair laughing.
I really do not have a least favorite scene. However I was a bit disappointed that Draco did not get more screen time, that Tonks did not get more screen time, and that Harry performed occlumencery (spelling? on Snape rather than the way it was portrayed in the book). There might have been one or two more things that I was slightly disappointed in. However overall I really loved the movie.

^^Small correction...Technically harry performed Legalamency(spelling?) because Oclumency is blocking someone from penetrating your mind...the Protego spell made him do that...but anyways..

I actaully thought of a scene that mad me laugh myself to sleep last night...It was when Harry and Hermione were coming out of the Forbidden Forest after getting rid of Umbridge and they meet ron, Ginny, Neville, and Luna on the bridge and Ginny tells them what happened and what Ron did.
Hermione looks at Ron "That was clever, Ron"
Ron: "It's been known to happen"

I'm sorry I don't know why I just found that absolutely hilarious in the movie....I love Ron he makes my life...seriously..

I thought Bellatrix looked a bit too crazed for her role. I've always imagined her fanatical to the point of madness, but on the whole more composed and disdainful. Umbridge didn't look quite as toady as she should have, but she played her part perfectly from the very first "hemhem." Luna and Tonks were great.

Some aspects that ticked me off were Lupin's lack of screen time and... Sirius. Need I say more? Looking old is understandable - he's spent years in Azkaban, he should look gauntish - but it's another thing to look old and TIRED. There wasn't enough rebellion/spirit/energy besides the occassional wink and "step away from my godson" or whatever he said. For me, the funniest part in the movie besides the Snape/Umbridge interview was Sirius's death. I had the strangest urge to laugh my head off *punches self*

yeah, book Sirius owns movie Sirius.

Eruwaedheil, Yes, legalmency not oclumence. :duh: (sighs and shakes head) Sorry about that. My bad. I spend hours looking this stuff up and reading about it and then what do I do?...mix the spells up. (sighs) Sorry.
Ah, yes that was a pretty funny scene. :) Ron can come up with some good lines now and again. :-D

Lady Dark Moon, Well, I do see what you are saying. They did make her a bit more...uh...well uh less composed as you said. A good example of that was her mug shot. She was distraught... quite frankly out of control where as in the book it was quite the oppisite...if memory serves me correctly. (If that information is incorrect though feel free to tell me.) However I think that it got the general message across well enough. They would have had to have added a scene or two more to explain why she would have been calm in her mug shot (in the movie) though, so cutting that was allright with me. I really do love what I have read of the books. However I am not as attached to some of the scenes in Order of the Phoenix, than I am in some of the other books in the series. All just my opinion though.

Just a note--- Because it's rather confusing. Legilimency is the magic branch of invading one's mind. Occlumency is the branch of defending one's mind.
