I know you do but it's just that not everyone is religous and doesn't turn to that for help. The only time I've asked for prayers was for my cousin when he was in Iraq just because he is Catholic and it was for him not me.

Yeah, it's just a personal thing... nobody took it as an offense, don't worry! There are other ways to help and to counsel someone... ways that do not involve religion

Why does everyone think Christianity is a religion. I would just like to say that don't force God onto anyone, i think that i shouldn't have done that, a bit to soon i think.....for some strange reason i thought you were a Christian!

I hate life!!!

I had surgery last week and my doctor made a mistake so that hurts EXTREMELY BAD, and my parents don't seem to care(neither does 3 of my teachers), and my friends are ignoring me.


I just want to disappear or die.

I really want to start cutting again.

It's okay

Life must be really tough for you right now, you're so strong just to keep on going through this. Please remember, you just make things worse by cutting, things go wrong when you do, and I'm so proud of you that you stopped for as long as you did. It's such an achievement!

All of us here care about you so much, I know it's not much of a replacement for the people in real life who don't care or are ignoring you but we do genuinely care and we're all here for you! It's probably a lot for your parents to take in, all of the stress your family is going through because of your surgery.

Some people act like they don't care when they don't know what to say or how to help. I told one of my best friends about my depression and that I cut and she just started ignoring me, I got her to talk to me eventually and she said that she acted that way because she was really scared for me and she didn't know how to help, and she wasn't talking to me because she thought that she might say something that would make it worse. I don't know if your friends or even your teachers are acting the same way because of that, though.

Ah, but Christias believe that Christianity is the only way to healing. That's the catch. I know I can't give any other advice that would really help the person.

So Earwen, since what is deemed religion [I agree that Christianity is not a religion] is not allowed on A-U, try a method I figured out -- just PM them, and you can say anything religious you want, as long as it's not offensive. Be gentle in going about it, because as seen in this thread, it's an EXTREMELY touchy subject.

Religion is mythe and fact, most religions believe that there was no Jesus Christ, or that he didn't rise from the dead to save us, as a Christian i believe Jesus rose from the dead and left us to be witnesses for him.

We Christians also believe that he reigns in Heaven and are waiting for the day when he shall return to tke us there, and we shall have eternal life in paradise!

Actually, religion is NOT myth and fact. Like the above definition said, it is a set of beliefs.

Just like you say most religions believe that there is no Jesus Christ, Jews say that most religions don't believe in God. Muslims say that most religions don't believe in Allah. Buddhists say that most religions don't believe in Buddha. You are a christian, and I respect that. But you have to also respect other religions because their religion also brings them happiness and a sense of purpose.

To you, buddhism is a religion, right? That's because they have a set of beliefs, even if you don't agree with them. It looks the same the other way around. What I don't understand is how you say your beliefs are true and therefore not a religion, but all the other beliefs are "religions".

But, of course, what do I know. I'm neutral about the whole thing.

I think Christianity is more believable then believing in Allah, I met this Muslim once, told him about God and Jesus and everything, after a little talk he was a little bit confused and started to wonder, what he had believing in his whole life had been true, a little after that he achally asked him for a copy of the king james bibles me and my group were giving out, he read it and in the end gave his life to God.

You know why christianity is more believable to you? It's because you're a christian, and that is your belief. (I'm fine with that, btw. Not trying to offend you or anything...)

Anyway, I'm done here. I don't want to start a whole debate on religion where people are supposed to go for comfort. And plus, anything I say about respecting other religions probably won't change your mind, so...
