Teletubbies are hilarious. They've got tv-screens in their stomachs and talking showerheads in their yards! *roflolmao*

Those tv-screens corrupt minds, my friend, just like that baby-faced sun that giggle moronically at regular intervals.

[ FM is hereby joining back all the clubs she left when she had to so suddenly leave last year. Have mercy on me as I try to get back into the discussions. ]

I hereby proclaim that FM hates-loathes-abhors-detests teletubbies.
And I haven't even seen HSM1... much less 2..

I am very proud to say that I have never watched HSM, and I never ever will.

(And yes, the teletubies are scary and evil.)

Thye thing that freaks me out about teletubbies is how much it reminds me of The Time Machine [I loooove that book, by the way. HG Wells rox my sox.]

For one, there is the Tubbytronic Superdome. And in TTM, guess where the Eloi live? In a giant dome!! And then, there is the "voice trumpets" - which are eerily similar to the sirens that call the Eloi down to the Morlocks world when it's time for one of their cannibal-fests.

And the teletubbies themselves aren't unlike the Eloi, with their naivety, and almost silly behavior.

I could almost swear that the guy who created teletubbies had spent the night before reading The Time Machine.

Tardis!! I would much rather travel in the tardis than in any other old time machine.

Anywho... if I had children, all they would be allowed to watch as far as kid shows go is The Wiggles. I approve of them.
The rest of kids programs are wretched.

ALL KIDS PROGRAMS ARE WEIRD.

I think they should make a kids' show... that features Daleks. Fwahaha. That would be funny. :P

They're designed for the slightly insane minds of children, after all, without all of our silly sensibilities programmed in. I guess they're just weird because we're already processed kind of by society.

There was a kids program we liked. Like for 2-4 year olds, not that I'm gonna let them watch ANY TV (we never watched TV 'cept at my gramma's, that's still true today, movie night is once a week, and that's it), but it was cute and good - these 3 baby animals... who basically go around working together to save other baby animals and stuff.

Really cute show.
