Slipping from her seat and again taking Inwe's arm, the short woman pulled her bag to her shoulder and pushed a few unruly black curls from her face, looking at the two others with a small smile.

Autumn gasped. She had not recognized Haldir with her disguise.

"That was...Haldir?" Why would anyone want to kill an member so well-known? And, if someone was willing to kill Haldir...who else would they kill?

(Hm. I figure we do some general exploring, not discovering anything big or making anything up until Kit perduades or dissuades us to do something in particular.)

Melda poked her head out of the dining room somewhat doubtfully, and looked both directions. There was a discussion going on about exploring, but she went off down the hall, curiously, to do some by herself, while ticking off clues on her fingers. "Door-mat...Haldir...eight o'clock...eight divided by the door-mat equals Haldir...except not quite."

The first stair up the bedroom squeaked. She stepped on it a few times, vaguely amused, and ventured further. The bedrooms lining the hallways had small green luminescent signs on them. 'Reserved', 'Occupied', 'Not Recommended for Use', 'Special Circumstances Dictate You Must Take Off Any Hats Here', 'Roommate Needed', 'Vampire-bat Infested'...

With understandable trepidation, Melda tapped on the door of the one that said 'Roommate Needed'. Nobody answered.

Autumn acknowleged Kit's comment with a nod of her head, and then turned away from the delectable-looking apple pie.

Releasing Inwe's arms and looking down to properly grasp her poofy black skirts, she answered Autumn with a grin. "I'm Aliana. I suppose if we're to be exploring together, we'd best know eachothers' names."

Autumn smiled at Aliana's remark. "Hello, Aliana. I'm Autumn!" She laughed at their belated introduction, but her amusement was cut short with worry as the darkness from surrounding corridors caught her eye. There was a creepiness about this place that made her feel uneasy no matter what happened.

Taur waved good night to Melda as she was leaving.

She faced the others again. "Okay, I'm up for a little exploring. Let's just be sure to take many candles, and stay together." Then, after Aliana's and Autumn's introductions, she said, "I'm Taurquende, but Taur will do just fine." she said with a smile.

Ali took Autumn's arm like they'd been friends forever, almost bouncing with excitement. "Lovely name, dears. Where shall we explore first then?" Her green eyes scanned the shadows with a barely-there flicker of hesitation, quickly extinguished by her childish delight.

Elenriel raced up to the others, intent on helping in any way she could. "I'd love to help get to the bottom of this as well." she said. "We have to find out what is going on." To get justice for Haldy and before we all end up dead. she added only in her head.

"Good to meet you, Taur." Autumn said with a smile. She began grabbing candles off of the table in a buisnesslike manner. "Where should we begin?"

Autumn turned and discovered Elenriel was there as well. "Welcome, Elenriel! It would be great to have you with us. The more the...merrier." she added with irony, thinking to herself, the more, the safer...

MB grabs the apple pie set down my Kit. She smiles at Kit in thanks.

She heads back up to her room....thinking, locking the door, closing the blinds and locking the windows, crawling under the covers and eating the scrumptious apple pie.

"Hmmmm....that sounds wonderful....well, as wonderful as can be on a night such as this."

On her way to her room, she bids all goodnight, and hope all remains well during the night.

Ælfthryth blinked a few times and frowned. Her body seemed unusually... floaty. She blinked and felt a bit bruised up. Then she remembered something colourful, and really hard and no more. She rose in a sort of float and realised that she was pretty much drenched in blood. It didn't feel like anything though.. it wasn't damp to her, nor cool, nor warm. She just... noticed it. Ælfthryth looked down and realised suddenly that her feet weren't even touching the ground; she was hovering in midair. Then everything suddenly came back to her and she realised something... she was dead. Dead as a doornail. And she was a hovering ghost.

"Well this shouldn't be too awful," she muttered in slight panic. "Everyone will just think it's my costume! Yeah that's it... I came as a ghost." She floated off towards the dining room where all the commotion was being held, not realising that she was gliding away from her own deceased corps.

"Okay, Elenriel. The more the merrier! And safer." she added. "You too, Autumn." She started lighting the candles and putting them in several holders. "I guess we'll go into the the library first and work our way down from there." She paused to wave another good night to Aliana and MB.

"Well has anyone seen where Haldir was before...well you know... Perhaps that will be a good place to start looking for clues?" she suggested.
