This has probably been brought up before but I was wondering how many times have you read each LotR book? I think I've read:
FotR a grand total of three times (maybe three and a half... don't remember now)
TTT two and a half times
RotK two times...

All 3 4 times. I'm hoping to read them a fifth time sometime this summer, or maybe in the fall. (This is interesting considering the first time I read them was in the fall of last year...)

The Fellowship of the Ring, about 6 times, I think the same for Return of the King, the Two Towers, twice.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. I have a...bad habit, shall we say, of reading the chapter "The Steward and the King" when I need a pick-me-up.

yeah I also read certain chapters more often than others, but I most enjoy reading the books as a whole. I think I've done that for 6 times now.

I've read the whole trilogy all the way through twenty-four times since May 2001.

I totally forgot I even started this! Oh, wow! Some of you guys are really dedicated! 10 times, Aerlinniel!? 24 times Aerandir!? That's awesome! *high fives both of them* the last time I read them was only about 5 months ago or so.... hmmm, in a few months it might be about time to re-read them again.

I've read the Fellowship of the Ring 3 times, and the other two twice. I want to read them again soon.
Wow! 24 times! That's amazing!

I've only been a big Fan for for the past 4 or so years so i haven't really gotten to read the Trilogy more than 2 times. I'm working on my third time currently.
I've read the hobbit more than 8 times, though.

Heh. Sounds like me. I used to be a very avid reader, but school has soaked up my reading time, so I've also only officially read the trilogy thrice (though there are select parts that I've probably read ten times or more). The Hobbit, I've read eight times like you have. Best grades I got in English my whole 9th grade year were during the quarter in which we read The Hobbit. I'd already read it six times then, so my teacher basically let me teach the class myself.

Lol, PotR. W00t for teaching English class.
But...you've only read LotR three times, so I have to shun you. *shuns*
