I'll check it out after I get the remainder of my school work done tomorrow(and then school free for the rest of the week for Thanksgiving break!).
Anyway, I don't have Word, or Works, or any other word program on my computer other than NotePad and WordPad. I use Wordpad for my stuff. And when I need spellcheck I check it on a dead proboards forum that no one else goes on to accept me, but I don't post it... I'm beginning ch. 2 of the first book of like... 5 I think, all of which I have the plots for. All of them sorta came to me in dreams, which is sort of how I get all of my ideas.
oh, yeah, and just for fun I'm writing a small fanfic about a hobbit in Middle-Earth for my brother, who actually made up the hobbit who is the main character... lol! "Freddy Took" is the name... lol!

Ah that's right, Americans have this week off. My friend is coming up from New York. She's not actually American, so she already had hers XD.
WordPad *shudders* I do not know how you can stand it, but you have my respect for it, XD.
What's the Proboards site, out of curiosity?

I use Microsoft Word.
We don't get any Thanksgiving break, cuz we're not in America, so it's just any normal Thursday. We're celebrating on Saturday, though.

No thanksgiving break? *le gaspeth* I've been out this entire week!
Raina... poor you! I'd absolutely hate using Wordpad! Why not download OpenOffice? It's just like Micro$oft Office, only free! =] It's cool.
Freddy Took... *cacklesnort* I like. Of course, you're talking to someone who named the super-cute looking guy in their romance Bob so I wouldn't trust my judgement on names anymore. Like, ever.

*shrugs* I'm hoping to buy Microsoft Word for my computer soon. And the proboards site is just a dead rpg site I made a long time ago that died 'cause no one joined it, and so are started using it for my story and only an admin can see what's posted at the moment *grins*

^^Canada doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving in November. We celebrate in October, and we only get one day off.

I think we get most of Thanksgiving off, though, we just have to do our subjects with a set schedule like History and Literature.

Yeah, and we should get back on topic!
Please check out my story "Elemtals" it's in the fanfiction section of the forum. I at least like to get two reviews from people before I post the next section! *puppydog eyes* please? I'll give you chocolate fudge! lol!
And here's the start of a story I'm writing for my seven year old brother:
Freddy Took's Advetures:
Freddy Took is a hobbit. His mother is Ruth Took, his father John Took. The famus Pippin Took is Freddy's cousin on his dad's side. Freddy lives in Took Hall in Buckland, East of the Brandywine River, the Shire, Middle-Earth. Freddy, Like all hobbits, has large hairy feet, is about four foot high, has curly blonde hair, and clear shinning green eyes. He usually wears white shirts with orange vest, a blue jacket, green cloak, and green trousers. He always has a smile on his face, and, like his Tookish side, loves to go on adventures.
Our story begins with Freddy getting ready for his very first adventure into the Old Forest. The Old Forest is rumoured to be alive, and the trees talk to each other, even move. And something not nice lives by the Burrow Downs near the East end of the forest. And then on to Minas-Tirith.
John Took came up to Freddy on this special day, and handed him a sword. It had vines on the hilt, and elvish words on the blade, that glowed orange when evil was near.
"This sword's name is Smasher. He belonged to your great, great, great, great grandfather Oscar the Briliant," Said John Took. Freddy looked at Smasher with awe. Even though it was old, it looked good as knew.
Freddy took the sword, and strapped it to his belt, and put his pack on his shoulder. Grabbing a walking stick, he walked to the hedge with his great grandfather, Drango, who would be coming with him. They made their way through the gate, into the forest. They followed the train as best they could for quite some time. The forest seemed to move, and the trees seemed to talk to each other as they kept going.
A few days following the forest trail, they came to a river, and took a drink. Just then singing was heard through the trees.
"Hey dol! merry dol! ring a dong dillo!
Ring a dong! hop along! fal lal the willow!
Tom Bom, jolly Tom, Tom Bonbadillo!
Bright blue his jacket is, and his boots are yellow!"
Then out stepped a man with a long beard, a blue jacket, and bright yellow boots. He held water lillies in his hand. The cherry man almost stepped on the two hobbits.
"Oh, hullo!" Tom said. "What are two hobbits doing in Tom's forest?"
"On adventure, Sir," Freddy said.
"Adventure, Sir? Sir? No need to call me sir. I'm Tom Bombadil! Tom Bombadillo! And who might you be?"
"I'm Drango Took, and this is my great grandsom, Freddy Took," Drango said.
"Well then, friends! May you join me with Goldberry my lady? We have an empty house, and plenty to eat!"
The two hobbits nodded, and followed Ol' Jolly Tom to his small cabin in the middle of the woods. There they stayed for a few days, and continued on the the Great East Road without any trouble.
By the time the sun had fallen, they had made their way to Bree, and were settling down in the Prancing Pony Inn with a tankard of ale each. Drango took out a map of the Middle-Earth and placed it on the table.
"Now, from here on, where would you like to go, Freddy my lad?" he asked Freddy, who stared at the map. Then he pointed to a big city at the end of the White Mountain Range that looked interesting.
"What is that place called?"
"Minas-Tirith, or the White City. Big people live there, and those Big People know nothing of us Hobbits. And to get there, we shall have to make for the gap of Rohan. We will not enter the city, for fear of being trampled on by the Big People."
"Rohan? What's that."
"This country right here," Drango pointed at the section of the map. "Land of the horses. Now, we'll set out tomorrow."

You wanna talk about a lot of breaks? Prepare to be jealous!
a week of fall break
veteran's day
a week of Thanksgiving break
two and a half weeks of Christmas break
MLK Jr. day
a week of spring break
Memorial day
and finally, the last day of school is a half day!
My school's kind of cushy, don't you think? And we get six days that our parents can excuse for us PER SEMESTER, and unlimited days of doctor's excuses!
I love my school!

It's a lot compared to Canada, anyway, but Eruraina has a point, we should get back on topic. I'm the worst one when it comes to getting off topic, XD.
@Eruraina: You're writing a story for your brother? That's so nice!

I don't like people seeing my work until I think it's finished and that takes forever with me, so I never have them finished by Christmas.

^ Yes, I have the same problem! I let a chosen few read it before it's done... but only to get their honest opinions on it before I spend all my time on it to finish it.
