Well, disapointed because, I was expecting a bit more, but the real reason is that I was hoping that maybe they were giving hints for a 4 movie, but alas, no.
(Sorry if this comment is offending anyone)

^Ah, I know what you mean. Well, I've heard strong rumors that a fourth movie is indeed in the works, and that it will feature Jack and Barbossa and have something to do with the Fountain of Youth, but nobody knows for sure. Maybe T&T came up with a spectacular idea, who knows?

Hey Ya'll! Wow, been ages since I've been on here...over a year I think...
Does anyone by any chance know if the AWE bloopers are online anywhere? I'd love to see them, but am not able to rent the DVD. (for reasons some of you might remember)
Man...posting is so strange now...I just sat and stared at the screen trying to remember what one did after typing... *rolls eyes*

Fae, Long time, no see! Hello to you and welcome back!
Drew, no, not at all. Which is perfectly fine with me that he steps down and lets some of the "littler" characters show their stuff. But really most of the memorable, awesome scenes in DMC and AWE, IMO, Jack hasn't been in. no offence taken... after all you can have your opinion. that would just be stupid to have anyone else try to play ANY of the characters! Can you imagine them getting some new guy to play Will?!!?! thank you very much... I really wuved it too.
I totally agree with you, Drew! On everything you said about that stupid little booklet! "Utterly deceptive twaddle speak, says I" all of it was! Why, oh why did Disney have to mess with anything? Oh, I would've loved to have that deleted scene too! *sulks* or at least had an ending (like you said) where anyone could choose what he/she wanted.
Anie, lol, I sorta regret I never tried it... but I suppose I was in too big of a rush to get in and out ASAP... but it would've been fun to see the reaching... man that is insane! I would've died if I had to wait that long! although I suppose what saved me most was that I have a big bro who wanted to see it just as much as me...
eh, who cares about those some people, right? huzzah for being positive!
well, I never thought of that before... but "that's what you call ironic" at that! hmmm, why, Disney, why? Why us? Why Will and Elizabeth? Why couldn't you have just left it be like all your other movies!? Look at Enchanted... wonderful movie, to be sure, but why did Giselle and the rest get a perfect happy ending while Will and Lizzie got sadness and pain and on top of it Disney tried to TOTALLY ruin it for them! aye, loyal to T&T and the REAL Pirates of the Caribbean story/people/everything right to the end!
well, I guess I'm just really easy to read, aren't I? Pretty much anything to do with Beckett is right up my alley... I bet he is too! I've heard some nasty rumors about him, but I guess I'm not believing any until I hear him prove them true or false. but, yeah, he seems to be pretty outgoing and fun!
Well, because you're just like me with my Becky when it comes to your Rags... lol, you have a point... and then the other deleted scene... well, how can you beat it? (although have deleted scenes that actually added something more to the storyline would've been somewhat nice... ) still, I know what you mean! (yeah, JF did... but I think we scared her away again... )
As far as I know there's only two PotC video games... the one I have (The Legend of Jack Sparrow) and the other one... the Disney made one. (isn't that sad? The one I have is of a better quality (like they took more time staying in character, making a better story (it's CotBP from Jack's POV... very funny! ) and making it actually FIT and all that. and it wasn't made by Disney) than the one Disney made!) anyway, it's called At World's End the video game I think... and it follows the DMC and AWE story... but it's so boring because it tells you everything you should do. although Barby was sorta fun to play AND you could play all the characters... I mean ALL of them. (the one I have you can only play Jack, Will or Elizabeth... but it does have a better multi-player mode) anyway, it was so funny to see Becky acting like Jack! but also sorta cheesy... anyway, I don't regret getting the one I have... Jack's version of CotBP is so much better! I could tell it to you if you'd like.
Padawan, ‘ello to you!

Anie Surion, Thanks. I like it too. OBsessed....(swoons over Orli)
You are welcome.
PD, Ditto. It is nice that Johnny lets some of the "smaller" characters have a turn at the spot light. The sad part is though that Keira was actualy supposed to be the star (according to Ted and Terry). I wonder how she fells about that...
Very true. I love Johnny Depp and I like Jack. However he is absent in several of my very favorite scenes in Pirates of the Caribbean. (nods)
Thank you. No. I can't imagine Anyone other than Orli playing Will and if they tried to recast him for a future Pirates of the Caribbean movie I would throw a fit! Orli Is Will to me. No-one else could play the part the way that he did, in my eyes anyway.
You are welcome.
Absolutely! That little book is infurirating! My poor Will!
Padawan, Welcome back! I am sorry to "hear" that you are still unable to watch Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End. I hope that you will eventualy be able to watch it.
FaeEowynTonks, Welcome back! Sorry to "hear" that you were disappointed by the At World's End dvd. What besides hints at a possable 4th Pirates of the Caribbean movie were you hoping for on the dvd?
Does anyone have the Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End videogame for the playstation two or Wii? If so do you like it?

Drew, aye... although I dunno if he really had to "let" them have the limelight... they kinda demanded it since, let's face it, the Willabeth story is more important to the AWE plotline in some ways than the Jack one... same in CotBP. Keira was? wow, that's... strange! lol but I guess at least in CotBP she... sorta was.
aye... actually I think all of the scenes I REALLY like in the whole trilogy except maybe 2 he's not in them!
You are so right about Orlando as Will. but to me, if they tried to recast any of the characters I would ban them and bash them and hate them and then die!
yes, my bro and I rented it in May before the movie came out. It was alright but sorta cheesy... as I was telling Anie you'd be better off, IMO, to buy the Ledged of Jack Sparrow one that came out a year or so ago. that one is fun! The other one is too dull, IMO. They tell you exactly what you should do and it's just.... I dunno, fun but only before you get through all the levels. *shrugs*

*induces CPR thereby bringing thread back to life*
The commercials for the AWE DVD always annoy me. First of all, they're commercials, which are always annoying. Second, they're advertising it as the "biggest trilogy of the decade." Yes, they are all very fun and entertaining, but really, they can't possibly rival with the sheer epic-ness of LotR! It's very unfair and illogical to compare the two.

thank you for reviving this thread, Taur!
Really? I actually try to spot the commercials! they're fun to watch for some reason... not like so many other dull, tedious commercials. At least I get to see my Pirates in them. hehe well, yeah, that is unfair to leave LotR out like that (although can you really hear them saying the "second best movie of the decade" ) but I dunno, in some ways I adore Pirates just as much as LotR and lately maybe even more. Character-wise I REALLY have to admit that I do like the Pirates a touch better (which is less than the smallest, tiniest amount mind you). and Pirates is epic in it's own way... not like LotR, but in it's own way it is. What gets me is all these OTHER stupid movies I've never even heard of saying their the best movie of the year and all that! Now THAT is just rubbish! There is only one best movie of the year and that IS AWE. Hands down. I've seen many, many of the movies that came out this year and (even though it is prejudiced just a bit ) AWE is still the best written, acted and all that!

I wonder how long it'll take for TVs to show Pirates specials. Like Pirates marathons. I don't think they've aired DMC on TV yet, just CoBP.

Jack's version of CotBP is so much better! I could tell it to you if you'd like. Doesn't it sound like so much fun? Ah well. Perhaps we can do it with some other big movie... The Hobbit is a-ways off, but maybe with that one I can prance around saying "Happy Hobbit Day!" Although I suspect I'll be in college then so it might look a bit funny. Harrumph! Lucky you! The only reason I didn't die of waiting was that I was barely alive in the first place. lol Huzzah indeed! I don't know...it doesn't make any sense at all to me. All it's saying to us is "Oh, well, you know, if you're in a fairy tale and a princess then you'll get your happy ending with your prince sure enough. But if you're just an ordinary person with an ordinary guy who get swept up in some adventures but have an average, healthy relationship, then no happiness for you! Just sadness, pain and heartbreak all around!" ...Well, okay, maybe not THAT extreme, but you know what I mean. Huzzah! We'll overrule that "utterly deceptive twaddlespeak", just you wait! That's not surprising somehow. Really? He's one I haven't heard much about, positive or negative. Now Keira is another story entirely... *shudder* Contradictions galore! But anyway, that's probably a good way to go. There are some pretty nasty people in Hollywood who will say anything they can without a second thought. Of course! Even if they're just trivial for-laughs scenes I still like 'em. (although I know what you mean... oh well) (Oh dear! It appears we did! Oops. Oh well.) The non-Disney one is better than the Disney-made one? Wow. Just...wow. That right there says something, doesn't it? I'm kind of glad I didn't buy the Disney AWE game then...I was thinking about asking for it for Christmas but if it was as boring as all that then I'm glad I didn't. Though, is Ragetti included in that "all the characters"? The Legend of Jack Sparrow sounds interesting though, would you mind PMing it to me or something? *puppy-dog eyes* Silent Night wrote: The commercials for the AWE DVD always annoy me. I think I know what you mean, Taur...as much as I do love Pirates, I still don't think they can quite touch LOTR. And I remember getting quite annoyed when I saw the commercial that said that (during the POTC Mythbusters episode, coincidentally ). Yes, Pirates is an amazing trilogy and a great story, but I still don't think it's as good as LOTR. After all, Tolkien's story has been around for over 50 years and people still love it...I know there'll be a core fanbase of Pirates 50 years from now, but will it be as big a thing as LOTR is now? Probably not... I feel like such a traitor saying that...

Aw, you're not a traitor, Anie! Pirates certainly is going to be remembered! All the little kids who dress up like Jack Sparrow today are going to have kids of their own and want to share it with them. And I think that every pirate-based movie that comes out after now is going to take a page from PotC. No more peglegs and Black Beards, it'll be all dreadlocks and wooden eyes.

Well, thank you. I was kinda starting to feel like one, since technically I watched Pirates before I read/saw LOTR (if only a few months before). Aww, second-generation Pirate lovers! That'll be cute! You make a good point - I'm sure we'll be seeing a Ragetti lookalike or two popping up sooner or later.

Here I am! I'm not dead yet or anything... sorry I haven't been doing my duties here lately!
Anie, It would've been tons of fun! yeah, I suppose we could do it with The Hobbit... although I'm not realy looking forward to that as much as I was looking forward to AWE. But we'll have to remember that... and Prince Caspian is coming out. we could jump around saying "Happy Prince Caspian Day!" lol You're never too old to have some fun! lol, very witty of you, Pip!
That's a good point you have there, Anie... never thought of it like that. I'm not sure if that's what they were trying to convay but now that you say that it... it makes sense. Aye, aye! We'll overrule it!
Most of what I've heard about Tom has been negative... but I really haven't heard a whole lot (which is good in some ways and bad in others. ) about him... and probably a lot of where they get what they say from is because he's a happy-go-lucky kind of guy... Oh, yes I've heard a lot of bad and good on Keira! thanks! some nasty people in Hollywood? I think you're mistaken... almost ALL of them are nasty! To get on top you almost have to be. my mom and dad are friends of people who's son is trying to get into the movie editing business and he's having a hard time of it because things are SOOO hard to get known and started in in Hollywood!
Yes, that's what my brother and I came to agree on. It seems like Disney just doesn't put as much effort into their stuff. (look at the action figures... although I do own the AWE Lizzie, Will, Barby and Tia action figs from the Disney Store ... but they aren't as fine of a quality as the many other ones I own) Well, it was still a fun game to play and if someone got it for me for Christmas I wouldn't have minded it, so don't get me wrong... it's just that it wasn't all that after you got done with all the levels. *shrugs* hmmm, yeah, I think Rags was in the AWE one. and I actually think his actual actor voiced him. alone with Pintel's (I think) and Beckett's and a few others... I already did.
Taur, there you go! that works too! lol
Awesome! *high fives* you should go finish it when you have a chance! it's really fun... the Formosa parts are still my faves! lol and then there's that secret map to unlock if you get all the treasure pieces... my brother and I still haven't found them all.
You know what's been growing on me lately? Norribeth... I dunno why, but I'm growing fonder and fonder of that ship! I still like Willabeth better, but Norribeth is just as sweet!

You know what's been growing on me lately? Norribeth... I dunno why, but I'm growing fonder and fonder of that ship! I still like Willabeth better, but Norribeth is just as sweet!
Prince Caspian Day will be fun! Thanks!
Well, no, I should hope they weren't. Thanks though! It just doesn't make any sense to me at all...
Really? That's unfortunate! Well, I'd just give him the benefit of the doubt, like you're doing, until you actually meet him in person...maybe he was just having an off day. I haven't heard much about him but the P&P cast seemed to love him. Oh, sorry...I was automatically being an optomist, it's kind of what I do. I know a lot of people in Hollywood are really cutthroat, that's why I'm so happy that the LOTR cast (and most of the POTC cast, I think) are such great people. Good luck to him! I can't imagine how hard that must be.
I know just what you mean...I just have two action figures, 6-inch Will and Lizzie ones, but I think they're made by somebody other than Disney and they're pretty good (Will in particular ). Ooh, really? Yay! Nobody loves Rags! He gets ignored a lot. *:hug:s her neglected husband* That's really neat! I always like it when the original voice actors can do the video games - I know that Tobey, Kirsten, and James did the voices of their characters in the Spider-Man video games. Yes, thanks so much! It sounds like an awful lot of fun!
I can understand that - after all, it's the whole idea of unrequited love, which so many of us have experienced before. Plus the idea of a guy who loves a girl so much that he'd give his life for her, even though he can't have her...that's pretty much amazing. And to Lizzie's credit, she was at least trying to be sorta nice to James...
You know what's really fun? The Game of Life, Pirates style! I got the AWE version for Christmas and my family's played it a couple times. Both times I ended up being Jack, which makes me wonder if maybe the game is rigged or something.
