The woman continued to fiddle with her coin, but her eyes were fixed out on the sea, a small smile played over her lips. She had always meant to return back home, but apparently the sea's hold was harder to shake than she had expected. A year went by and she decided she wouldn't be able to return home until she had enough money to pay for a charter, but one job led to another and fifteen more years went by and she didn't want to go back. She murmured under her breath, "a ship and the sea is all I need."

Kayala frowned and jumped down, letting the sail catch her fall. Looking very determined and knowing that she might get in trouble, she slid down the mast to the deck.

She glanced up at Kayala, her eyes following the woman's movements slightly bored. At least there was someone else on the ship that was not completely thrown off kilter by the disappeared Jack. She nodded to Kayala and stretched her legs out on the stairs, waiting for something of interst once more.

There was a searing pain in her side as the wound reopened. She bit her cheek until she drew blood to keep from screaming. after a while, she drew her sword, the sword that by which her family was killed. its handle gleamed in the sun. Hoping none had noticed, she put it back into her sheath, lettting rest take her once more.
