Don't worry Karigan. The Mayans probably just got attacked before they could finish the calendar. It is really 1213.

Women-suppressing eras just annoy me It's so unfair that women should be treated differently to men!

hmmm, never thought about some of those things... I just find it overall dull. I mean, I like the fashions, travel and the whole style of living during the 18th, 17th, and 19th centuries (personally, I probably wouldn't be able to handle it, but I like thinking/reading about what it would be like). Maybe it is because once you reach the 20th century things seem more... modern. I mean, a lot of the things are still around in museums and whatnot. There's no wondering what it would be like back then... because you can just ask some people. Like tanks, tvs, radios and all that modern stuff... you can see it almost anywhere. No sailing ships, hoop skirts, powdered wigs, horse and buggies or anything.... actually it's kind of weird how there does seem to be a definite time in history when things took a big turn all of a sudden (the Industrial Revolution). hmmm, I dunno though, women were "looked down on" by men even before the Victorian Age. they just excepted it more before that time... in the Victorian Age they finally started knowing that they could be educated in the same way and they could do some of the jobs men could do too (as well as other things..). And that's probably partly why it's more emphasized in that era than any of the others... because it's when women finally started taking a stand.
blah, sorry 'bout the mini-rant-like-preach-y-thing.... I like talking and history is a good subject for me... well, better than math or science.

The 17 and 1800’s sound fun compared to now a days, but my teacher makes it sound like a drag. I think it would be cool to live bake then I could sword fight. *draws sword*
