I'll get part two up in a minute... but it's not as good as part 1, I think... though, I think part 1 is the best one... lol!

I was going to say something else... but I forgot what it was... lol!

^Both of those settings sound pretty dang cool! I'd probably say steampunk... I'm not sure why. lol What's the story about, if you don't mind me asking?

Madison lifted her eyes up from the sleeping baby in her arms, her soft gaze falling on her husband delicately. He stared back at her penetratingly, waiting intently for her to speak. Her lip quivered on the edge of speech, then the words flowed.

“He sounds sweet,” Madison said slowly. “Like honey.”

Alexander nodded, the shape of the words on her lips deciphering in his mind. “Even when he cries?” he asked.

“Even when he cries,” Madison said with a smile. “When he cries, his voice carries and pierces the air around him, setting the world on alert that he’s hungry, or that he’s sleepy, or that he needs to be changed.”

Alexander smiled at his little wife, pleased with this explanation of his new son’s voice. If he tried hard enough, he could almost hear the cry ringing in his ears. That was, of course, impossible. Alexander had been deaf in one ear since they met at fourteen and had lost all sense of hearing a year later. But Madison… Madison brought the sounds of the earth to his mind with her words alone, building up careful articulations of the voices and reverberations. Never before had he been so perfectly suited to anyone that they could paint a sound into his head. Who else would tell him that his new son sounded like honey? That seems ridiculous, doesn’t it? Something sounding like honey. But between Alexander and Madison, ‘sweet like honey’ made perfectly perfect sense, which was why, in a sense, their union was perfectly perfect.</i>
