It's going to be so hard getting used to no more Dr. Kroger...

The Olympics
What do I do now?
And I was SOOOOO disappointed with the London bit. Seriously. If David Beckham (over-paid and over-rated) and Leona Lewis (the Screecher) are all Britain's got, I'd rather be a Latvian. Seriously concerned for what the heck we cook up for 2012's ceremony.

First twelve eppys of the Sixth(?) Season of Friends
@JF-ishy: In my opinion, it was a whole lot better than the entirety of the Chinese bits... but I'm biased, being more of a fan of England/U.K. than I am of China.

^ The only comfort I can derive from our bit, was that in 1996, Sydney's segment was people bouncing around on kangeroo shaped space hoppers... and that was a pretty darn awesome opening ceremony.
Gah, I have so many ideas for things like the floral bouquets and lighting the torch. I need to see if anyone anywhere wants ideas for 2012.

Well, as an American who pretty much fawns over everything British...I thought it was amazing. It was just so clever.
Leona Lewis can crawl away and die under rock for all I care. But I'm a Beckham fan. Have been for a quite a while...a bit overrated, yeah...but I'd take him over Leona any day. And I have no doubts about what all ya'll will have for us in 4 years.
ANYWAY, as the political science [s]nerd[/s] nut that I am, I have been eagerly watching as MUCH of the "Democratic National Convention" in Denver as MUCH as possible!!
Tonight, I was even MORE excited, BECAUSE my state's governor spoke JUST before Hillary! *runs around with giddy excitement* And I swear to you, he gave the most rousing speech of the night...save for Hillary's. Even the guys on PBS commented on how enthusiastic he was and how wonderful and needed that was for the crowd.
And then Hillary came on. AHHH! Spectacular speech. YAYAYAYAY! This convention is frakking EPIC.
*runs off to C-Span to be with her fellow political nuts*

Who Do You Think You Are? Jerry Springer
Oh, my gosh. One of the saddest things I've ever seen on TV. Jerry Springer tracing his family back to the Holocaust and hearing what happened to his two grandmother's in the death camps. It's just so chilling and desperately sad, that these "humans" could so coldly and deliberately humiliate and belittle these people for no reason, force them to live and work in conditions that I can't even imagine and then build their hopes of a renewed life so to get them into one of the first type of execution chambers - a gas truck.
Do descendants ever question what their grandfathers told them they did during the war and that it was all Hitler's fault?
*shakes head*

"Farscape - 2x04 - Crackers Don't Matter"
This is such a hysterical episode! AHHH! Especially at the end...and John's "super hero" outfit!
"Farscape - 3x12 - Meltdown"
Stark is NUTS in this episode. More than usual. But oh my god, I love this episode. It's so hot. And funny as hell!
"Democratic National Convention" (Al Gore and others...and oh yeah, Obama's acceptance speech)
OH. MY. GOD.
EPIC.
I mean, D-A-M-N. Politics aside, I watched frakking history in the making. Life might suck in this world, but it's moments like these that give you hope. WOW!
