"Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before...."

The night is calling me as I lie in light,
Nightmares haunting me on the moon,
Fearsome fears and a haunting tune,
Leave, leave me in my place,
Hide my face.

"But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token...."

Give me, give me my Lady fair,
Leave this soul her golden hair!
Take my life and my heart and mind,
If only her I can find!
My heart broken.

"Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning...."

Demon's calling as I'm falling
Hell's legions marching forward.
To me is granted only one word,
As I leave my love fair.
Goodbye.

"In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore...."

The phantom wails all rise to no avail,
I shall never truly fail
While the light was rising.
"Curse you, curse you" I weakly cry,
Wishing to fly.

"'Doubtless,' said I, `what it utters is its only stock and store'...."

"Yes, yes!" I muttered, while soul within me sputtered,
"Lies they speak, of Lenore!" I then spoke more,
"My beauty lives in these lands of heaven,
To me kindly by God given.
Under blue sky.

"'Prophet!' said I, 'thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil!...."

But they left not ever me,
Though I believed that I was free,
Crying "No!" in wretched agony,
Foaming and raving maddeningly,
Fallen.

Sweet. That's really cool. I thought the first part of this had rhyming that flowed a little more, not that this didn't, but this seemed a little more free-form. Still, very good, and i liked the touch of the things at the end, like "Fallen" and "Under blue sky" and "Goodbye". Great worK! You've really done a lot of this!

I know, the first one was more of a spontaneous kind of production, this one was deliberate.

I see. Well, great things can spring out of inklings! Take the Inkling, for example. :-p
