Howdy! (I know it's ironic, that's why I wrote it.)
The pipes, the drums, the fiddle, the didg, the spoons, the flute, the kilts... there is only one term for it: CELTIC. Whatever it is about Celtic music you like, it doesn't really matter. Between the pipes and the singer with such a thick accent no one can understand a word that is coming out of their mouth (sober or no) Celtic music frickin' rocks!
When were you introduced to Celtic music? Why do you like it? Are you involved in anyway to the making of Celtic music (or dancing)? Perhaps you are of Celtic heritage? Who are your favorite Celtic artists? Speak the language? Live in a Celtic country?
Don't worry, you don't have to answer all of the questions, they are just suggestions and topic starters. I hope you enjoy your membership.

I'll join!
I don't play much Celtic stuff on my guitar, but I'm a highland dancer and my sister plays the bagpipes...

And sometimes whistle, if I'm in the mood.

I have to join this one! I love Celtic music! I've attempted to start playing the Irish pennywhistle, but haven't gotten very far on it yet. I'm also starting to learn Irish dance!

^ Awww, that's sad.
I just switched dance schools, and I am sooooo happy at my new one. I'm getting a brand new dress, too.
Oh, and Liz Carroll is coming to a town near me in December, so I'm going to go hear her play. Again. She's so nice... and such a good fiddler, too.

^ Just a quick question, have either of you ever gotten shin splints, and if yeah, what did you do about them?
Cuz I have them/am getting over them... and it drives me CRAZY not to be able to practice.

Yeah! I'm a Highland Dancer, and I've gotten them once in the past....What I discovered was that the best thing to do was to stretch a lot and all the time....

Okay, thanks... I had dance on Thursday and they barely bothered me, then Friday I was going over our Caeli with some friends and my shins didn't hurt at all... yay!
