^^Heads up - I would like people to remain active in this RP since a lot of people tend to ‘fall out’ or ‘forget’ about these things. So if you know you aren’t going to be on a lot, please take a minor character so we don’t have to loose an essential character in the story. Thanks.^^

The Plot: *Set just before At World's End* The reign of pirates is coming to an end. Few pirates sail the oceans as the world shrinks and new places are discovered. Some of the most famous pirates are taking what they can and giving nothing back. Governor Swann has resigned his position and now Governor Lawes has taken his place. Beckett is hanging by the dozen.

In addition, Beckett has caught wind a legendary treasure hidden somewhere in the Caribbean. Apparently, there are caverns full - piles of gold and jewels just waiting to be claimed. He soon learns that the treasure has been buried on Isla Fernandez and all of the pirates are making an attempt to retrieve it for themselves, hoping to become rich and defeat Beckett in the process. Now it is a race to the Caribbean’s Treasure.


{This doesn’t follow the plots of the movies very much, but it does involve the characters of PotC.}

Where the Story Begins: At an inn in Tortuga where the pirates are gathered to discuss the location of the treasure. Beckett has been listening in, disguised and virtually invisible to those around him.

Rules:
1.) No Godmodding or Powerplaying. This means, no taking over other member’s characters without their permission (I.e. - going on vacation, taking a break from AU, etc.) Powerplaying is also not allowed unless the RP is moving too slow. Also, some people have the tendency to make their character “invincible”, thus meaning that they never get hurt, can’t die, and are always in control. We want equal chances for all of the characters, so please let others have turns in posting.
2.) Quality, not Quantity. Make substantial posts if possible, not just “Soandso agreed with Jack and leaned against the door”. NO. Try and elongate your posts if you can with dialogue or characters’ reactions. Don’t just post for the sake of posting; please make an attempt to post with quality.
3.) No Romance. As it tends to take the focus off the more important aspects of the RP, please no romance. The only exception to this is the Will and Elizabeth pairing, but please don’t have them falling all over each other every second. I’m not saying they can’t, but excess romance is not allowed.
4.) Have Fun! That’s what RPing is about! We’re here to have a good time and make up an enjoyable story.

Here's my bio! It's definitly not entirely historically accurate! lol

Name: Grace O'Malley

Ethnicity: Irish
Appearance: Red hair, goes several inches past her shoulders, usually worn in a braid. Brown eyes. Average height, slender but strong.
Clothes/weapons: A long-sleeve shirt, leather vest, dark pants, and cloak. She carries a cutlass, pistol, and dagger.
History: Born in Ireland, the daugher of a clan chieftain and ship captain. Grace first sailed with her father on a trading expedition when she was a young girl. When she was sixteen, she married Donal an Chogaidh O'Flaherty, also a sailor. She had three children through the marriage. Later, Donal was killed in a battle. Grace continued to command her fleet, fighting against the English and assisting rebels in Ireland.

My history is correct for the non-fictional aspect, but I didn't change it for the RP. Besides the History, the rest is made up.

Hair: Dark Brown, waist length. Anne keeps it tied back in a loose plait.

Appearance: White chemise with a worn red cloth belt, frayed brown pants, gold hoop earrings, brown boots and a red bandanna. She wears a lot of gold trinkets and beads in her hair. She is about 5’7”.

Weapons: A cutlass and twin pistols.

History: Anne was born in Ireland. Her parents moved to America and became well respected plantation owners. She grew up in South Carolina and was fascinated with stories of pirates that were told at the nearby Charleston Port. At Charleston she met a pirate named James Bonny. She married him and the two of them moved to an island in the Caribbean named Nassau. Here Anne was surrounded by famous pirates such as “Calico” Jack Rackham. Anne left her husband for Rackham, and signed on as part of his crew. Anne was the only female pirate aboard Rackham's ship. Mary Reed was another woman disguised as a man and soon she and Anne became friends. The two told Rackham their secret and the three of them inflicted terror and pandemonium throughout the Caribbean for almost a year. Then in 1720, their ship was captured. During the fight, Anne and Mary stayed aboard and fought to defend their ship. Meanwhile, Jack and the rest of the pirates hid in the hold. Jack and the crew were hanged after their arrest. Amazing, Anne was granted a reprieve for her acts and was let go. No one knows what happened to her after that. Some say she went back to her life of piracy while others say she returned home. No matter what happened to her, Anne is probably most famous for the words she exchange with “Calico” Jack on the night before his execution. She scolded him saying, "I'm sorry to see you here, Jack, but if you'd have fought like a man, you needn't hang like a dog".

History:

Every was a sailor from youth, serving on various Royal Navy ships. Accounts of uncertain veracity place him aboard the English fleet bombarding Algiers in 1671, buccaneering in the Caribbean Sea, and captaining a logwood freighter. By the early 1690s he had entered the Atlantic slave trade, in which he was known to buy slaves on the West African coast, then seize the slave traders themselves and chain them in his ship's hold alongside their former captives.

In the spring of 1694, Every was serving as first mate aboard the 46-gun privateer Charles II, under a Captain Gibson, then anchored at La Coruña, Spain. Every and a few fellow conspirators succeeded in a well-planned mutiny and set Captain Gibson ashore. Then, he renamed the ship the Fancy and sailed for the Cape of Good Hope.

At the Cape Verde islands, Every committed his first piracy, robbing three English merchantmen. He proceeded next around the Cape of Good Hope to the island of Johanna in the Comoro Islands. Here he had the Fancy careened and razeed her, cutting away some of her superstructure to improve her speed. With this modification, the Fancy became one of the fastest ships then sailing in the Indian Ocean. Every promptly exploited his new speed advantage to capture a passing French pirate ship, looting the vessel and recruiting some forty of the crew to join his own company. His total strength was now possibly 150 men.

In August, 1694, Every and the Fancy reached the Mandab Strait, where he teamed up with four other pirate ships, including Thomas Tew's sloop Amity. Although a 25-ship Mughal convoy bound for India eluded the pirate fleet during the night, the following day they encountered the greatest ship in Aurangzeb's fleet, the Ganj-I-Sawai, and its escort Fateh Muhammed, both passing the straits en route to Surat.

Every sacked both of the ships, all tough the Ganj-I-Sawai proved hard to win for the fighting took around two hours and cost the outnumbered pirate crew 20 of it`s members. Every and the Fancy parted from their allies at Réunion. They set course, after some dissension, for Nassau in the Bahamas. Every took on 90 slaves on the way. At São Tomé he stopped to take on supplies, defrauding the Portuguese sellers. The Fancy's next stop was St. Thomas. where the pirates sold some of their booty. Finally they reached Nassau, where they bribed Governor Nicholas Trott to give them refuge.

Unable to buy a pardon from Trott or from the governor of Jamaica, Every's crew split up, some heading to North America, while the majority, including Every, returned to Britain aboard the sloop Isaac, landing in Ireland. The female prisoners were not aboard, and it is unknown whether they escaped, were released, or were murdered. Although 24 of his men were caught, many soon after disembarking, Every was never seen again.

History: Mary was born in London and after her brother's death, she was deguised as a boy all her childhood life. She then joined the military and was useful, until she fell in love. She revealed her true identity to her lover and they married and then started a tavern. But, then, suddenly, her husband died and she joined the military once again, disguised as a man. Then, they were captured by pirate captain Anne Bonny and her fellow captain, Jack Rackham. Mary became a pirate and after a while, revealed herself a woman to Anne, her newest best friend and pirate mate. Mary is still a pirate to this very day.
