By light of sun I swiftly shy away,
By light of moon I feel great fear,
By star I feel deaths hands, cold and grey,
It draws my destruction suddenly near.
By light of sun, Your beauty brightened,
Up the dark alleyways of my tired soul,
By light of moon and star, your radience frightened,
all evil away and I once more felt whole.
Yet since that day, That fateful day,
My life has lost its guiding light,
You no longer appear, as beautiful wood fay,
And within me I have lost almost all will to fight.
Yet something says within me,
"you must rise up and stand tall",
Methinks it was an old part of Thee,
That would pick me up when I would fall.
Many say that all we ever had,
was fleeting as a crimson rose,
Yet around you I was never Jack the Lad,
My love for you like a river flowed.
These days many average people say,
That living in the past is weak and foolish,
Yet I can no longer live content in light of day,
In dreams and mem'ries only, can I find peace.
