Then my world seemed at an end,
No one around to

Until I saw you standing there,
Without a care.
I looked at your face,
Saw your lies,
Till I realized the red
Between my eyes.
Looking about I saw
The gun in my hand,
Where it lay poised near my head.
My body dripping blood,
I felt so helpless and unrest.
I wanted to scream and shout,
But now I'm mute.
