Hey guys, I know that at least some of you must write poetry. I'm no poet, but there's something about LOTR that makes me write poetry. It is by no means good poetry, but it's what I wrote. I'd love to see other peoples LOTR poetry too – so post away!

These are just short little ones that I'm working on and may lengthen later. Just tell me what you think. Btw, some of them do not have the names of the characters they portray, but it's pretty easy to figure out if you've read the books or watched the movies. If anyone wants to know who they are about, just ask and I'll let you know.

In her hand is a shield,
By her side is a sword,
Daughter of kings,
Theoden's ward.

Astride a white horse,
Both gentle and strong,
He carries a staff,
He's told of in song.

His garments are white,
His face is wise,
To all friends in danger,
He swiftly flies.

His sword by his side,
His hand near his friend,
On his sword he pledged,
To defend at the end.

I've also written one for Sam, but it's not done yet. I'll post it when it's ready. Also, I'll post the links to see the picture graphics I did for some of the poetry I wrote.

Ok, here is the poem I wrote for Sam. It's titled "Samwise the Brave"

Here is some more of my poetry and graphics. This is the poem in honor of Sam. It is titled “Samwise The Brave”.

Following, following,
Through cold and dark,
Through forests and rivers,
Through pain and fear.

Never straying,
always staying,
At his friends side,
Not a word, or sigh.

Into the land of Shadow,
Out of his hobbit hole,
He following him to the end,
He gave him his very soul.

Not letting go, not leaving,
Up the thunder mountain,
To the highest peak,
He carried him in his pain.

'Til at last the journey ended,
They lay near a fiery sea,
And at the end of all things,
There was faithful Sam Gamgee.

And though he may have cried,
His heart was always strong,
And his sword was always ready,
He is told of in elven-song.

And then at the very end,
He passed the silver wave,
And no one will ever forget,
Samwise the Brave.

Here are the links for the graphics. Please open them in order.

It's missing one verse because I forgot it at home. I'll post it later.
