I have been on AU for…well a long time now, suffice to say I was here along time before the Reformation, I participated in the WT v NC war and I have many children through more are always welcome. I’v been away for quite a bit because of exams and now don’t post as much as I used to, (that is why I am a lowly Vala though I remember the days when Vala was the highest you could get.) I’m 18 now and I’m going to University next year to study Music with hopes of becoming either an Opera Singer or Early Music researcher, something in one of those area’s at any rate. I would encourage any young newbie’s to join the Evilishly Nazgul Alliance For World Domination (or Nazgul Club/NC) we can be found in the Glittering Caves section at the bottom of the Index and I can promise you utter chaotic madness. Also cookies, as the saying goes ‘Come to the Dark-side we have Cookies’. Hmm I don’t really know what else to say, apart from HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

I figured I'd reintroduce myself seeing as we have plenty of newbies as well as oldies returning. And to be frank, I haven't been as active these days as I used to be in the past.

So my name is Anna, most people here call me Eru and I'm a 24 year old (going on 25) female from Sweden. I've been a member of A-U for 4 years now. I signed up with this very same username on the old forum as well. For a brief period I was Child of Óðinn but changed back to my original username almost two years ago (I think). I was here for it all; the new forum, the forum crash of '05, the WT vs NC wars and everything in between. I feel very blessed to have been a part of such a great community for such a long time. You guys truly are one of a kind. Despite our many differences, I couldn't ask for a better forum.

So who am I? Well, I have a huge passion for everything of the past (whether it's the Edwardian era, Renaissance era, Medieval era or Viking era). I was raised on Scandinavian Folklore and Folktales so Fantasy (Lord of the Rings especially) always seemed like a natural step. I've always had a love for the magical, the mystical and the gothic. The modern concrete world just bores me to tears with all its shopping malls, cosmopolitan magazines and fashion trends. I find it so dull, bland and uninteresting it's not even funny.

My other passion in life is music. Whether it's listening, playing, singing or composing - I couldn't live without it and not a day goes by without me doing either or all of the above. Like with most things in life, contemporary mainstream music does absolutely nothing for me. It's dull, bland and simply uninteresting. My musical preferences are genres such as Folk, Celtic, New Age, World, Renaissance, Movie Scores and Metal. Again, like with Fantasy and Lord of the Rings, it's very much connected to my Folklore upbringing. Other passions of mine are; Movies, Books, Graphics, Photography, Writing, Drawing and Traveling. I love traveling. I want to see the entire world. So far I've been to Sweden (duh), Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, England, Wales, Ireland, Germany, Holland, France, Austria, Slovenia, USA and Canada. I've been to all of Sweden's 25 provinces. 12 US States. I'm not stopping now! Hehe.

And I'd be surprised if anyone actually read all of that

I want to take the chance to WELCOME both oldies and newbies to this great reunion! I hope all of you stick around for many years to come!

Even In Darkness [Updating]

Wow this is actualy amazing, i can't actually believe that i'm back here again after two years give or take a few months. It seems like centuries ago when i first signed up on the old proboards AU with the Nickname of ElvishLady. It was then that i first found my love for RPing and well i havn't stopped since

Of course i now go by the name of Isteleth Galathiel, but please for heavens sake just call me Isty (it's so much easier.)
My real name is Erin, i was 11 or 12 when i first joined, i am now 2 months away from 18 :|
AU dominated my life for a tremendous ammount of years, in that time i made friends such as Aerwen, Pearl, Tamuril, Eru, Falath, Elen & of course my very own twinny Annerueth. (not my real twin, but we're as good as now )

I live in the UK, have done my entire life. In my final year of A Levels, where i am studying English Literature (shaped through my love of the LOTR books) Media Studies, History and Home Economics. A weird assortment i know but i love something about those subjects.

I have applied to University and had offers back from all my choices. From AU i gained a love of graphic making, starting off with the old 700 x 150 pxl banners to huge old photomanipulations that i think i first saw by FRODOFAN i think it was. Since then i have gotten (illegaly) photoshop and not looked back since; because of this i have shaped my choices for Uni around this love and one day hope to go into the media buisness myself before going into teaching.

I have a keen interest in photography and bought my first camera this summer gone. I love music that ranges from new world music all the way through to metal. I love it all and am rarely found without my iPod.
Reading is my favourite past time, i'm currently working my way through all the classics

I guess i've been talking for wayyyy too long, can't wait to see all the old faces, maybe start up an old RP for old times sake *coughcoughaerpearlannethelencoughcough*

So i guess that's all i have to say, sorry its boring and long haha.

Well, I'm Larael. I joined the old problards forum as Larael Greenleaf and carried that name over here. There's not much to say about me to be honest. I had an obssession with Orlando Bloom and Legolas at one time, which is how a lot of you may remember me. I was also one of the very first members of our Welcoming Team.

I'm Shadowcat, but when I first joined (which was after the crash of '05; I wanted to join, but it was crashed, so I couldn't xD) I was yavanna. I think I later changed that to Yavanna Kementari (because I'm creative like that), and eventually SwedishMoose. That didn't last too long, because then I got addicted to X-Men, and changed my name to Shadowcat. About a year ago I changed to Coccinelle for a few months, but Shadow sort of stuck.

... That's my name changing history. Congrats if you actually read that. I change a lot, which is why I started the Chameleon Club for those of us with... OCD, I think we called it. Obsessive Changing Disorder.

Oh, on the note of Clubs, I started Page 1000 of the NC. And then my computer decided it hated the NC and wouldn't let me view posts there.

And you guys led me to Photoshop. My dear lovely Photoshop (which is actually PSP, but still). Thank you so much everyone for making pretty things and inspiring me to do the same.

I don't think I have anything wildly inspirational to say, because I'm quite terrible at that sort of thing, but you people are amazifying and AU sort of steals most of my freetime. 'Tis worth it though.

ok... I'm not much good when it comes to introducing meself... let me see...

I'm not a newbie... but I'm not an oldie either. I joined the forum in Febuary of 2007, but I didn't post anything until April 7th, during Spring break. I have always had the same name, though I sometimes change it for Masquerades. I think that the first club I really participated on here was the Lord of the Pans (my little brother still "steals" my "pan" and runs around pretending to wack me with it...) A-U also introduced me to RPing, but I am not very good at it...

So... enough about that. In RL I am 16 (I held a sweet 16 party here on A-U and gave out "mathoms", hobbit-style) LOTR has been my obsession for just over 6 years, and my mom thought I was crazy when I came tearing down the stairs on the morning of January 11, 2008 screaming excitedly about "THE HOBBIT"'s pending release.

Um... I've made a few friends on here, though I really don't talk to them often. Pirateoftherings was one of the first people who actually wanted to talk to me, though we lost contact later. All the members of LOTP I count as friends, as well as my PMing buddy, Legolas15. *huggles all her friends*

If you read all of this, I am proud of you, here is a cookie for your troubles... *hands cookie*

Hello all! I'll be happy to bet that many of you wouldn't recognise this name - I started out on A-U as Ororuthiel, quite a long time ago. I'll have to check on dates and such - I'm afraid my memory suffers somewhat. I left here for quite a while and eventually came back under this new alias, where I pop in from time to time if a topic catches my eye.

I'm currently in University - when I joined A-U in the beginning I was still at school - and having finished school and gone through college I'm now studying Graphic Design and Photography. My home is in the north of England, but for uni I live in the midlands. There's not a lot else to say about me. It's nice to hear from some old faces though

I suppose I´m one of the oldies...
I am here because of my great love of LotR.
I actually started here in Dec. 04, but was deleted because of the crash,
and yet I have survived the wars and the great crash of `05.
..I have discussed topics where we all have tried to be both misunderstood and understood.
But that is one of the charming traits of AU, so many people..all different cultures, religions and beliefs.
In my life, I meet people with handicaps.
They are deaf, they are autistic and often mentally disabled.
...so it´s pure fun for me to come here and spend some time with AU´ers.
You give me the opportunity to eat, drink, sleep and speak LotR...and so much more! thx!
