Creative Challenge Contest
Round 6
---------------------------------
(Results of Round 4 at bottom)
Hello and welcome to the fifth round of the Creative Challenge Contest! I’m Aliana, your Host; feel free to ask me any questions you have about the contest or individual challenges.
The Creative Challenge Contest is about artistic improvement, expanding your boundaries to do things you wouldn’t necessarily try otherwise. There will not be rounds about specific fandoms, but you can have fandom-related things in your graphics. If you have any suggestions regarding rounds or otherwise, let me know via PM and I’ll add them to the list. Remember to have fun and respect other contestants!
Round 5:
Negative Space
graphic: your choice
This round is all about simplicity. Using negative space, you’ll be able to enhance the subject matter of your graphic and make it “pop”. get as much negative space into your graphic as you can and still have it make sense. Subject matter, text, colors, and size are up to you.
Tutorial #1
Tutorial #2
TIP: Use complementary colors, blacks and whites, etc. for your negative space to make the subject pop.

--Fandoms are allowed but this contest is about skill, not fanaticism. Use your own judgment.

I'll join this one. We're working with this a little in my art class.

First? Thanks so much!
Oh, sweet. I love seeing people do stuff with negative space. Might as well give it a shot.

Great blend, Aranel! =P I went through that phase too. They photograph so well, it's hard not to use some of their stuff.
Thanks for the entry. ^_^

If you hadn't joined by mid-week, Cat, I would have dragged you over to do this.
I love the icons, Nurr! The giraffe one is adorable. <3

I'm on a strange Mary-Kate and Ashley kick for some reason. It's quite odd.

I'd like to enter please! I've never done one of those, but I've stalked them, and been amazing at the beautiful and creative things produced!

Gen is a character from one of my favorite series of books, The Queen's Thief by Megan Whalen Turner. The cover art is amazing... that what I used here.

Got my entry. I was going to do a Life on Mars blend, but my screencap site appears to be down, so instead I went with Donna.

EeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDonna!
....Lovely entry, Cat dear.
Yours is great too, FM. Do you have any idea who the artist is? The style reminds me a lot of Ciruelo, though his sword art is usually b&w.

Yes actually. The cover artist is Vince Natale... who is notorious for his incredibly vivid Sci Fi / Fantasy covers.
