I always thought the digital/graphic artists outweighed the "traditional" artists in these boards, so I thought I'd post some of my attempts at random people. There was a thread in which random people posted pencil drawings they came up with, but I guess that's long gone. Anyways, I'd really appreciate you fine people's feedback!
These are two from a few X-men 3 drawings I was working on:
The first one's Cyclops, the second's one Angel. The second one is actually not a recent scan, since the finished version has the wings properly shaded, everything else is pretty much the same.
This is a Narnia one I've been working on, still needs some adjusting in contrast, and a border I've been trying to decide on. Almost done though...
I might post more, if anyone wants to see more

Again, amazing works, Eru ------ the background on the first two is perfect --- did you use a certain paper to get it to become smoothly black? Or did you use a pencil value to shade in the blackness?

Thanks Manwaithiel, really appreciate it!
Thanks Kitoky, actually it was kind of a problem getting it that way. I used an 8B pencil, darkest I could get my hands on, and covered the whole thing, very messy... then I used a diffuser to even it out and it actually looks the way it looks above. But when I scanned it, the scanner picked up even the faintest pencil strokes and uneven areas in the paper. So I had to do a slight Photoshop alteration to even it again, just a "Darken Shadow" to the entire canvas. Something like this,

I'm still observing the pictures.
The stubble on Cyclops is just done so well!

Lovely. How did it take you to do this one? Eruadan wrote: This one's an attempt at Brad Pitt as Achilles in Troy...
The HAIR. Argh. Perfect hair --- People do the perfect hair! I'm so jealous.
And maybe you can take some liberties with this one and try and darken the jaw line a little.

Hehee, thanks, I actually owe ye thanks since I used the links to the high-res pics u posted for the x-men shots to do those, so thankees all around, and thanks to everyone for the awesome feedback. Here's a couple more I've worked on. I've got Pyro done, just have to scan it, and I've got Wolverine, Storm, Colossus and Kitty already in the works. Kitoky wrote: Ooo, the detail looks the same, almost --- which is good, because sometimes when you see close up you can see the actual scratches that people. Lovely. How did it take you to do this one? I think it took about 4 hours total, I'm happy that at least I've been picking up speed and not making huge mistakes Kitoky wrote: And maybe you can take some liberties with this one and try and darken the jaw line a little.
This was tricky cuz the way he sorta stretched or slanted his neck really didn't cast a dark shadow over that area, but i could try to contrast it better. And thanks a lot again, I always appreaciate your awesome feedback!
This is something I worked on a while back, not my best, but a little different...
