[x] Good day to all. This is a contest that which is very much different from all the other general contests. Only this contest, you have to be more creative with a limited amount of choices that are offered to you.
[x] The name of the game: As it is, it is called the Screencapture Contest, and as you may have noticed there are rounds to this contest meaning I will continue with contests in the same routine [with variables...well..varying.
]
[x] Basically I will provide one or more screencaptures of various things. Whether it be Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, a picture of a book, or a landscape capture. You will then use those screencaptures to make your graphic [avatar, banner, etc.].
Rules:
- You must
only use the screencaptures given to you.
- You must use them to make the required graphic (ie. Round: Avatar)
- Your entry must be a newly made entry. [Preferably with some kind of signature.]
- There will be no limit to the entries (meaning any number of people may enter), as long as it is entered by the date. Any entry given latter the date will be shown and recognized but will not be included in the judging (unless given a very good reason as to why you entered late).
[x] Judging: Judging the graphics will be up to other moderators and/or random members. However there will be no poll. I will survey individual people. There will be a 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and honorable mention.
I've added another place called Host's Choice, because I always want a certain one to have an award.
[x] Awards: Will not be guranteed the best in the world. I will try and see if anyone will be willing to make the awards at the end of contests or I will do to the best of my ability to make them, though take my word for it, my skills suck and so does my paint program. Unfortunately due to the horrifying AU Crash of 2005, the awards and results were postponed and I don't intend to take this long to get the results out unless they're a second AU Crash of 2005.

“I think this is really nice blend. And very different from the rest. It has a very simple look to it but as you closer it actually looks very complicated!
The blending is quite well done (especially Clark Kent). But it's the textures that I really like. The papery feel has worked really well and the swirl is a nice touch. The hearts probably were not needed but I think the heart text suits it well.” –Johnny’s Fan

“This to me conveys a very postery or magazine cover feel. I think the overall simplicity of it makes it looks quite striking. The blending is done quite well. The colours are nice and the glow in the background looks good. The text "Superman Returns" probably wasn't needed nor the "S" as it crowds it slightly. The "He's Back" suits the blend perfectly though.

<i>“A fairly simple template, nice text and choice of pictures. However, there's something missing...it doesn't seem very uniform. All the pictures are a different colour palette; I think that a texture would have worked well to blend it all together. Still good though

“This blend has a beautiful background. The starry blue sky really works well and is such an eye-catcher. I like the double picture effect on the right as it adds something to the blend overall. It is a pity the images are not of a similar background colour to the main image as it would have matched better I think. The border is a nice touch. I like the red text as it suits the overall design. The other text/symbols (?) are hard to read.

“Another lovely starry blend! The background is beautiful and I love the lighting that has been used. I like the fact you have not used too many pictures (although the building makes the two of them look a little str ange). The glow around Superman is really nice and works in contrast with the darkened image.

“This blend is just stunning! The colours are beauitful and the glow effects have been used really well. The whole blend just lights up! The blending is very good and although I was not a big fan of the "boxed section" to begin with it really adds something to the piece overall. I like the main text as it suits the blend well, I could probably live without the L&S text though.
