HOBBIT NEWS - Stephen Colbert to cameo?
It has been reported that comedian and frontman of US satiricial show The Colbert Report is set to appear in a cameo role in The Hobbit. Those of you who watch Colbert will know he is a massive fan of The Lord of the Rings and the works of J.J.R Tolkien, so this must be every fans dream come true. He visited the set last year and got a look at 25 minutes of the film, but at the time claimed he was just visiting. Details are sketchy as to who exactly he is playing and for how many films, but sadly Colbert fans we know he will not be appearing in this years release, An Unexpected Journey.

HOBBIT NEWS - Song for the end credits
It seems that the end credit song for The Hobbit will be sung by Neil Finn, a fellow Kiwi like Peter Jackson and member of the band 'Crowded House.' We don't know the title or character of the song, but we do know that it (as well the rest of the soundtrack) will be written by Howard Shore.

HOBBIT NEWS - Toys released
Those blurry action figures on eBay have now been officially released to retailers, and some much clearer pictures of them are hitting the internet. They give us a first look not only of Tauriel, but also of the Goblin King, a warg rider, and Bolg the goblin (who is fierce!). Have a look.
